PRE - easy flat IP 300bbs eff. Not much to discuss there.

FLOP - face a bet on a very wet board, we only lose to 99 so easy raise for value/protection

TURN - I'd continue barreling my straights, sets, and flush draws/straight draws here, so I continue to bet here to get value from 2pair/overpairs/draws

RIVER - I tank and use about 20 secs of my timebank wondering if I should value bet, thinking about what straight combos he could have here and if he'll call me light thinking I have a missed draw, there aren't many straight combos that I think he could have (besides 53) so I go ahead and fire a large value bet here (same size I'd use with my missed draws for balance)

he snap shoves for 260bbs and puts my in a really gross spot. Now I've already though about what straights he could have, and T8 isn't likely to be calling flop reraise, and turn barrel (it's very unlikely unless it's T8hh/T8cc) 53 I think he would reraise OTT the board is getting really dangerous, and he'd want to protect his hand as I've shown no interest in giving up my hand. So if he doesn't have many straights, what value hands does he have here? He's not putting in 260bbs with just a set of 9s/7s/Js here so we don't need to worry about sets/straights (they're just heavily discounted) so onto flushes. Axcc is what he's really repping A9cc is the only one that makes sense that would bet flop as any other Ax isn't wanting to bet a flop like that (do you really bet bottom pair, or a 5 for a bdstraight draw here?)

Very straightforward spot, V. is never bluffing and doesn't have worse for value, so it's an easy fold.

What straights you have ott?If you have 8Ts then you probably bet river with 2 combos of 8Ts 9 sets and maybe 4-5 bluffs so over all 16 combos so calling with 99 and 8Ts will be enough even in theory.
I agree that probably average player underbluff this spot.

plz explain more, this is a 300bb spot and can't be quantified with "he's never bluffing" He obviously doesn't have worse for value, so what value hands is he snap shoving this river?

only T8 I have here is T8hh I never have 53 here, so my range would be
1x T8hh
3x 78s
3x 99
3x 66
3x 44
6x KJ/KT/QJ/QT/JT/T8 all hh the others I wouldn't raise flop/I'd 3bet with.

We're getting 3:1? I think, $20 to win $60 so we need to continue with 66% of our range here, I think all sets are going to be a call here just to be unexploited, our range is so weighted to bluffs here I think we have to call it off

V raised 26 to win 14 so we just need to call 1- 26/40 so about 35 % of the time.So you bet 3x 99
3x 66
3x 44
1x T8hh for value and 76s(3)and either KT or QT as a bluff and check call Jx and fold the rest.So you are betting 14 combos and need to call it off with 4-5 combos so 99 and 8Ts will do the job.Btw your betting range should never be weighted to bluff otr.

Made the call and V showed up here with A8hh I just don't see how he has any value hands on that runout after the way the hand was played
