Re: ***uNL Quick Checkup Thread***

I'd fold the flop or the turn. Once you call the turn I don't see why we would fold a brick river for a .5pot shove.

Re: ***uNL Quick Checkup Thread***

is 7 his AF? Has he c/r'ed flop's before? If so, i would call, if not, i would just fold OTF

As played OTT: If he was c/r'ed the flop with Jx he also got us. TBH i doubt he would be c/r'ed flop and turn with air. So i would prob fold turn :$

But if you are gonna call turn and call river, if prefer you get it in OTT to make sure you charge draws and don't scare off other crappy hands like 66-TT or w/e before another diamond hits OTR

Re: ***uNL Quick Checkup Thread***

Yes this aggro factor was 7. Yeah I am not really sure why I didn't lay it down on the turn. I was just proud i laid it down at all. Next time I will definitely get it in or dump it OTT next time. Thanks

Villian was pretty unkown playing: 29/21/2 (VPIP/PFR/AF) 0% 3bet
Fold to cbet = 71%
Donkbet flop = 0/3
c/r flop = 1/7
c/r turn=0/2
sample size ~60 hands
I was playing 25/21 or something close to that. Nothing OOL

$10.00 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
Hero (MP): $13.40
CO: $14.17
BTN: $9.24
SB: $22.15
BB: $10.00
UTG: $3.20

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is MP with 3 3
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.40, 2 folds, SB calls $0.35, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.90) T 3 2 (2 players)
SB bets $0.64, Hero calls $0.64

Turn: ($2.18) 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.38, SB raises to $4.66, Hero tanks and decides to: raises to $12.36, SB tanks and decides to: folds

Final Pot: $11.50
Hero wins $10.93
(Rake: $0.57)

Is this standard? I like the flop call tbh, but wasn't sure about shoving turn
I am only getting called by 22 and maybe maybe T9 (if he decided to Donk the flop with it)
Is the shove OTT still good because there are some draws out there (although, all of those draws : SD, BDFD are pretty well concealed, so c/c would make more sense), plus, by just calling turn my range looks weaker which increases the chance of stacking him.
Also, the rare times he is bluffing (decides to change a pair into a bluff or w/e) flatting turn would be optimal obv

(I usually thought 3betting turn was standard, but because he was thinking so long and decided to fold, i am starting to think that (IP!) i could also flat his c/r and hope he shoves OTR

if you have a maniac fish who loves bluffing and hates folding, you'll go broke a lot faster calling 45s against him imo

1. villain is unknown. is the river sizing ok, and can you confirm that it's standard to just call it off when raised? or should I just check/fold the river after the 4th spade comes on the turn and my large turn bet gets called?

Merge - $0.10 NL - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BTN: $10.00
SB: $9.90

Hero bets $2.00, BTN calls $2.00

River: ($6.67, 2 players) 3
Hero bets $4.44, BTN raises to $6.74 and is all-in, Hero calls $2.30

2. villain is 33/8 touristy player over a few hands. River card is ugly -- is there value to be had in betting this river for half pot, and can i call the raise getting 5 to 1 odds

is this fine? i mean hes taking a FOS line but theres a lot of cards i dont want to see on the turn and would have a difficult time calling off on the turn and i wanted to avoid that. or am i being too scared and should just call flop and call off most turns to catch bluffs and semi bluffs too?

also considered 4 betting pf, but even tho i believe hes aware of button ranges he may not shove light that often and id be hating my life?

RB: K6s: Too weak to play OoP, fold pre. I'd c/r the flop a lot of the time. As played, bet turn bigger and shove river yourself I guess.

AA: Iso bigger, bet turn bigger, prob shove river yourself seeing as c/f river just sucks.

Note that both are going to be thin river shoves and you'll get owned sometimes, but given spr on river, there's nothing else you can really do.

go shogi: Probably fold pre without reads cause his 3betting value range has you crushed.

yes thats also an option. to me that feels kind of weak though considering it is a button raise and he does have a history of 3betting. perhaps the limper making a bit of a difference there though.

VPIP: 19, PFR: 15, 3B: 3

Doesn't seem like a history of 3betting.
You should post relevant history in the post.

^ very happy calling river

2+2 hand converter isn't working ftl. Villain is unknown. std? calling with the hopes of chopping so he has to be shipping 6x a lot of the time for a call to be profitable. since I blocked 2 of them, easy fold?

Re: ***uNL Quick Checkup Thread***

loldonk: I don't actually know if there's much value in betting that river for that size. Villain's calling twice range on that board is like.. 6x, flushdraws, possible two pairs/sets (somewhat less likely).
I think when we bet that river and bet $16.50, it's hard for them to actually have a worse hand that will call. I'd go 1/3rd pot or c/c depending on villain but I think I c/c here a lot.
I guess there's some value from like... 8Ts that might calll...

For reasons you said, it's pretty absurd for villain to bluff here, and we're blocking his random spazzes with chops.

K6s is fine to open on the CO. Just not when BTN is a loose station or a 3bet monkey.

it's a min-3bet, he makes it like 1.5bb to call, folding would be atrocious imo.

Villain is 17/13/2.3, 52 f2cb, 33 f2tcb, 22 WTSD, 66 WSD over 1.1k hands, don't have any special reads other than he calls way too many 3bets imo. As for the timing of his actions, he tank called the turn and tank bet the river.
