Lead flop, or check/call if you think you'll be bluffraised a ton if you lead.

As played, c/f turn is okay (but in general, if you find yourself raising flops and check/folding turns with made hands, you're probably doing something wrong).

Peleus - I wouldn't open UTG with QJo.

Besides that the whole hand is tricky. You have OESD, 1/4 pot odds. Villain might have flush draw that completes OTT. Villain seems pretty tight (small sample, yes). I doubt he's betting complete air OTF after calling your UTG raise pre-flop.

I would had played this very carefully. I wouldn't had c-betted, double barreled nor shoved on the river.

Many questions in the air that someone wiser can answer better than me.

For the call preflop I put him on a range of something such as JTs+ and smaller pocket pairs. On the raise and call of the flop I think he does this with any K and good kicker, even KT trying to protect against the flush draw. Also any K with a diamond in his hand. QJ. 44. TT.

CBet I can understand, it may be a little wet to cbet

I think double barrel is fine because the 9d is also a scare card, and we're betting for value against any two pair, set, TPGK hand that isn't a flush, so against his range I feel as though I'm probably still ahead.

There is so little left on the river I feel that I have to shove anyway. If I just check and he shoves I'm priced into a call, so I may as well get it in first.

There could definitely be flaws to my reasoning, which is why I'm posting here, but that's my 2c

Ah yes. Your reasoning sounds reasonable

Now that I've given it more thought and read your post I think that the double barrel and the shove on the river are fine and justified. Against his range we're ahead imo, yes.

I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts on this one!

Fold pre.

Other than that you played it well. You could also check/raise turn, but at NL5 a lot of players will be "ZOMG, flush got there, can't vbet my set now anymore", and having turn go check-check would be a disaster.

MP was running 13/9 over 90 hands and CO has been 3betting 18% over 70 hands.

Standard? I assumed he could only be shoving with KK+,AKs. However if AKo is in there, I was winning 40% which meant it should've been a call? Since I was getting pot odds of 1.8:1, that meant I only needed to win 35% of the time? Is that how you calculate it?

Do you think AKo could be in his range here?

lol I'm a noob, only beating NL10 at 4.1ptbb/100 over 24k so please help me.

How about this one? Just don't know what to do. Villain is playing 23/18 over 80 hands and 3-betting 11% (27 chances). I went a bit confused of his 3-bet size and well, I've no clue what to do.

EDIT: I guess that's why I bet so small OTF.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.04(BB) Entraction
SB ($4)
BB ($4.02)
Hero ($7.56)
UTG+1 ($2.81)
CO ($0.79)
BTN ($4)

Dealt to Hero K Q

Hero raises to $0.16, fold, fold, fold, fold, BB raises to $0.28, Hero calls $0.12

FLOP ($0.58) 8 6 K

BB checks, Hero bets $0.29, BB raises to $0.58, Hero calls $0.29

TURN ($1.74) 8 6 K 4

BB bets $0.98, Hero folds

BB wins $1.66

Another one straight after that:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.04(BB) Entraction
SB ($2.70)
BB ($6.69)
Hero ($4.16)
CO ($7.67)
BTN ($4.02)

Dealt to Hero 3 3

Hero raises to $0.16, CO calls $0.16, fold, fold, fold

FLOP ($0.38) 3 3 7

Hero bets $0.24, CO calls $0.24

TURN ($0.86) 3 3 7 4

Hero checks, CO bets $0.48, Hero calls $0.48

RIVER ($1.82) 3 3 7 4 A

Hero checks, CO checks

CO shows 8 8
(Pre 80%, Flop 0.1%, Turn 0.0%)

Hero shows 3 3
(Pre 20%, Flop 99.9%, Turn 100.0%)

Hero wins $1.73

Fold pre prolly. Flopping quads is so rare that I just don't know how to deal with it. Villain seems solid 22/15 over 50 hands. That's what made it a bit more difficult to try and squeeze max value out of the hand. Seems like I failed.

1. Obviously just bet more otf, call the raise. Fold the turn as played. His line looks like 88 or KA.
2. You might want to consider a check-raise on the turn. As played just bet the river for value, you might get a call here.

1. Fold pre, as played call the turn.
2. Definitely don't CR the turn unless you think you can level him into overthinking that spot which is higly unlikely. Just bet bet bet unless you have reads that the villain might go for some crazy bluffs.

I don't know but I usually just shove after BTN calls the 4bet? Isn't that what you should be doing? getting Aces in as soon as you can lol.
