Hey , im planning to start playing 6max. I was wondering if there is a link to some basic preflop strategy(charts) that are up to date. most of the stuff i have been able to find are a couple of years old.

10nl
hero has AA

UTG opens 0.2, hero 3bets 0.7, BTN calls 0.7, BB calls .7, UTG folds

10 6 4
pot around $2.30

Hero bets 1.3, BTN call, UTG call

Turn 9
pot $4.70

Hero checks, BTN bets 3.00, BB calls 3.00, Hero shoves

Is this too ambitious? The button and big blind are set mining here like 90% and being cautious with TT-QQ like 10% imo. Button was hyper aggo/bad and definetly goes broke with a ten. Big blind I have no clue. I might make a thread for this later from my other computer with the real hand but I'm tilted so posted here.

Is it even possible to fold AA in a 3bet pot multiway lol? I checked hoping it checks through and I get a value bet in on the river. When BTN bets and BB calls I'm nervous but can't imagine folding and theres so much money in the pot I can't imagine calling and then folding river so I just stick the $ in before JJ/QQ goofy KK makes a big fold on the river.

But then again I feel like BB's and BTN's range is so set heavy... **** obviously I lost lol

Is this right play or should I fold in some point? Thought that opponent's range is TT+,AQs+,AKo. So only AA and TT beat me. Flush draws didn't get there OTR and I thought maybe villain was bluffing flush draw or valueshoving AK. Since there is only 1 combination of AA and 3 combinations of TT, he more likely has some other hand that doesn't beat me, am I correct?

    Is this an easy reraise? I started thinking that probably 2/3 opponents will call and then I'll be OOP facing overcards a lot of the time, so maybe my first thought of reraising isn't always proper here

    His line -c/r flop, turn lead, river shove- screams "I want to get my whole stack in"

    All the hands he could have that would make him want to get his stack in have your one pair pretty well crushed (or like 2% of the time he'll have AK or AQ)

      Been awhile since playing 2NL :P

      No reads, one of early hands in a zoom session, im putting it down to bad luck and not bothered about the loss but just want to see if I played it right.

      I would raise maybe 99+ from that position, rest I'd flat call. Did'nt see much merit in donk betting, but turn gave me some more equity with the straight draw, hit a 6 on the river and the plan was b/f rather the c/c

      Just blowing off some steam.

      I have about 15-20k hands (10k on this computer and I think around 5-10k on another) of 2NL and 2NL ZOOM and my graph still looks like a roller-coaster. I'm winning, but I still have a lot of leaks and feel like I am playing a little passive post flop. At the moment I'm trying to balance study and gettiing some decent volume but I am starting to see a decrease in the quality of my play but is that okay in the long term? I guess time will tell.

      Edit. Also, how many hands roughly did it take before you saw consistent improvement? I feel like I worry too much about my graph and play scared during a down swing. How did you all handle this situation when you first started playing?

      You set the river up quite weirdly with that 1/3 pot bet I think you definitely have to call here he can still have 5x worse flushes and whatnot.

      @Tortov
      seems pretty standard to me
      if the first hand gets stubborn with top pairs a lot, or at least what he thinks is a top pair, then the sizing is okay. you make is super easy to gii on the river for him. the guy may think you're loose and he should be calling with a couple of lower pp's than K.

      @koffiegrinder
      i don't see how you can do anything other than call.

      here, my image is semi-loose aggressive, though, not too sure if BB knows sees it yet. trying to establish that by cbetting most flops with face cards. not too sure what my fold equity here is, but i figure if he's playing half his hands so far, then i might have 50% at least here cbetting. (assuming he's willing to fold down a lot of Ax, Kx, Qx, middle suited connectors/pp)

      i find the turn suspicious, because if he wanted me to bet again, he wouldn't donk here, but since he called, im putting him on JT with runner straight/flush outs. on the river, if the sizing is right, im going to try to catch some bluffs, though, i don't feel trying to get value out of the queen is a good idea otr.

        heya. need some advice on my 5 bet sizing. should i be betting less? i tanked pf before my 3 bet in order to make it look like a squeeze so that agro reg UTG would 4 bet me lighter. don't think i remember 5 betting and not already being all in. do i 5 bet to say 85BBish and then fold to a shove? thanks

        I don't think you should check turn (possible draws = don't give free cards). Plus, I think you can't fold on turn (costs 3.72$ for a 20.49$ pot: if you win this 18%+ of the time, or once in 6 tries, it's a winning decision). I think you should adjust you bets to stacks size. It's better not to bet more than a third of the effective stack (smallest stack still in hand). On the turn, betting 2.5$-3$ will give you the opportunity to fold on his all-in raise if you think you're beat.
