    Just a cooler, or could I justify just calling the river? Weird tradeoff: he's an 888 zoom player and they're bad, which makes me want to shove; on the other hand, we're a bit deep and this kind of river raise is usually pretty nutted. Don't know.

      QJ: If u know he'll always call on the turn is ok, but you almost never bluff like that especially with that sizing so is like you're asking him to fold

      AA: I'd make it bigger otf, and I'm always shoving river too, only 35 beats u and he shouldn't have it and if he does he only has the 4 suited combos. Pretty bad of him to flat with that tho

            Should I have check folded the flop? Was the 3bet appropriate?

            In the moment I was trying to push villain off boards he did not hit, after later review I am thinking this was a bad idea, as my hand is likely the worst when villain calls a 3bet OOP I would put him on AJ+ or an overpair

                  @stlows

                  #1 River usually these 1/2 pot bets are for value, but I don't think it is a big mistake calling this.

                  #2 I really don't get the flop bet. there are not many worse hands that call, and you can always bet turn for value here, I guess if you have reads on him calling with 2nd or 3rd pair you can bet. rest is fine.

                  #3 Unless you have reads he is doing this with any random hand, you should probably fold F and definitely fold T. Think about it, if he is not bluffing with a SD or air, what value combo are you beating?

                  @homerjunior

                  4bet* is ok here, unless he is extremely passive, which would make calling IP here better, but both are fine. cb here is a little ambitious to a guy that called a 4bet OOP, he is usually not folding any pair here. But its not awful because you still have good equity if he calls. rest is fine.

                  Pretty sure my raise into all in + raise was a very bad move
                  Should I recognize the strength and fold? Or call? Or can't get away and just a bad beat?
                  I'm Probably not ever folding trips to this flop 3way at these stakes but if I did, deeper stacks would be the reason to do so. Either way I think its close and shoving here is not -ev. I see no reason for just calling.

                  I am confused about when to shove, the call was obviously good with the nut flush draw and 30% BE with implied odds, but I have been 3b shoving flops with nut flush draws a lot, my reasoning being I have decent odds on the draw combined with good fold equity due to the shove, but after realizing how crushed I am by even a TP has me coming here to ask for advice on the subject.

                  By the way whats an appropriate amount to post hands here, is one a day to much?

                      Rank these options by highest +EV in the long run:
                      A) Fold flop.
                      B) Check call turn, check fold river.
                      C) The **** I did.

                      Note: I would not check raise a 3rd barrel because villain's range is going to be strong and tough for him to find a fold.

                      Would appreciate the help.

                      V is 27/27 and has 50% Attempt to Steal, only 11 hands though. I chose to 3bet in order to avoid BB squeez and because of BTN's loose image and he has already folded to couple of 3 bets.

                      OTF I think V can have very wide range of hands after the raise: straights, sets, two pair and a ton of drawing hands but not many bluffs after such a strong raise.
                      I thought I still got some equity against his made hands with OESD/BDFD/8's and flipping against the drawing hands+very little fold equity and that made me shove.

                      Wp or not? Appreciate the comments.

                      Powers, I would prefer just check-calling with 88 and probably folding to a turn bet. Unknown V can easily have AQ, AK semibluffs in his flop Cbet range + u have good equity againts made hands. And I would probably check fold turn because his range will mostly consist of overpairs or better. He will most likely check back his overpair on river if u get ur straight, so implieds odd are very thin.

                      In your case, after donking flop, I would fold. Because, in my experience, unknown V (only 11 hands) will usually have 2 pair at least, or a combo-draw.

                        If we assign villain a range of QQ-22,AQs-ATs,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,AQo-ATo,KJo+,QJo we hold 46.7% equity on a board that hits his range very hard. I would just call the flop raise and re-eval on the turn.

                        Sorry if this is really standard, but I wanna know if I play these spots ok.

                        Uknown villain.
                        I though he would fold anything but Ax if I fire turn, but might try to bluff OTR or call small bet with worse.

                        Should I bet turn, or is it good as played?

                          Trying some poker after a year+ away (this time to actually study the game, not just "let's play some poker, oh apparently I can win at NL5"). My brain seems to just stop working at times, so I have to ask if this is standard play. I was a bit short-stacked for a while due to unforeseen circumstances, so shoving is the only reasonable bet size. And I really don't want to see A/K/Q in next streets but I might get called with a pocket pair/87/76, so I want to bet. No stats with meaningful sample sizes.
