Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Crossposting this from the coaching advice "I want to start/join a study group" thread:

Hi all,

I'm looking to start a 10NL through 25 NL study group. I'd primarily like people playing these stakes, but I'm willing to look at slightly higher or lower stakes.

Looking for people who are willing to put in the time to move up, and willing to help out other members. This would include sweats, hh reviews in skype, and just general shooting the sh*t. I'm currently a 100NL or 200NL (Depending player, but I'd like to give back to some of the micro players out there and help some people move up.

If interested, PM me some basic info with site/stakes played/skype/why you want to join up.

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

I'm looking to join a study group.

A little about me: I've dabbled in everything from cash to STT to MTTs, but now want to focus primarily on cash. I will be starting with a $35 on Full Tilt with the intention of grinding out 2NL. I was dead set on getting a coach, but without the funds to afford one, I obviously can't go that route. So, instead, I'm coming here to hopefully find a group of players who wouldn't mind adopting me into their group. I'll be very active and you can expect participation from me whenever mandated.

If you think you'd be down to adopt me, try sending me a PM (I don't know if they're enabled yet or not), send me an IM on AIM at WaltTiltman, or send me an email at houston.barnettgearhart@gmail.com.

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Hi,

I would like to join study group for nl10 or higher players in European timezone. I`m playing nl10 currently and I`m break even/slightly loosing and winning on upswings player... I`ve played nl25 but because of unnecessary cash outs/tilt/ lack of skill I had to move down.
I hope to improve my game and beat this micros.

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Ok the study group in the OP is no longer valid atm, and I'm too busy to create a new one now. I would like to have a player of similar skill level work with me as study partner so if anyone is interested in that shoot me a pm/skype (but please mention it's about this and not about the OP in your add request)

I'm currently @ 20NL, wr 4BB/100 over the last 53k hands, however it may not be true since I'm on a massive heater.

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Hi, I'm looking to join a study group for NL10/NL25 players.

I'm a PLO8 cash/sng low stakes grinder and have been for the last year. Before that I was grinding NL10. I also grind the 180 man Sngs on Stars. I am looking into playing NLHE again as a main game and wish to start at the NL10/NL25 level.

I have no mic/headset so I'm looking to join an IM only study group or a group which communicates mainly via IM. I have both AIM and Skype. If anyone could possibly PM me about a group that I could participate in it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

I currently play 25nl 6max on FTP and am slightly a winning player. I'm interested in swapping sweat sessions with one, or a handful, of 25nl ppl. Ideally, this could turn into more of a longer term study/sweat deal.

PM me your thoughts and what you'd be up for if interested.

Limits Played: 2NL, but right on the edge of having a BR for 5NL (started with $10usd)...I should be there within the next 3 days.
Winrate: 12ptbb/100
Hands Played Per Month: 40k - at least 8hrs/day
Why you want to join our group:
1. Just discovered poker recently and am hooked.
2. Something like this is probably the absolute best way to improve.
3. I'm on unemployment and when it runs out would like to have an income from poker to live off of (not much, I am a simple man and don't pay rent or anything)
4. I actually enjoy studying almost as much as playing.

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Hey everyone,

I'd be really interested in joining a study group. Right now I play 2nl while I grind up my roll in order to play 5nl+. I play whenever I can, usually at around 500-1500 hands a day ~5 tabling.

I think that having a group of people to be able to talk poker with would benefit everyone greatly. Hit me up on skype if you're interested in starting a group or have a spot open in yours

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Hi folks, I'm looking to join a study group for 10nl and 25nl. I have been a consistent winner at 10nl, but absolutely sturggling at 25nl for some unknown reason. If anyone wants to put some work in I use skype.

I play a minimum 40k hands per month.
4.2 BB/100 @ 10nl over 40k hands (last month) (played well over 200k hands at 10nl maintaining above 3BB/100)
-.04 BB/100 @25nl over 33k hands (this month)

Hey guys,

I've taken about a few weeks off from poker but am looking to get back into it. I am hovering between 5/10 NL and would love to form a study group to sweat and review, that kind of stuff. I'm looking for dedicated people that like to help as much as be helped. PM me back if you're interested

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Hi folks. I'm a guy interested in making microstakes poker a source of modest income (or decent if you're from Eastern Europe like I am :P ).

My biggest obstacle on that road is that I cannot motivate myself to do it all on my own day in and day out. I've played 0.05/0.10$ Full Ring NL for half a year avaraging 2.5ptbb/100 but am currently trying to aquire some basic skills in 6max and small stakes multi table SNG's.

I'm looking for someone interested in starting a friendly partnership in studying and playing micro poker - talk strategy, do some sweats and even brag about big scores and complain about bad beats from time to time :P. All in all I'm looking for a person serious about poker at the micro level that would welcome a poker buddy.

I'm available 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM CET (UTC+1) so hit me up on Skype if you want to talk some poker.

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Hello,

I currently co-run a Skype study group for SH players looking to improve their game and increase their winrate. The group has been running for a while and as of 11/10/10 we have 72 members. The skill level varies and people are playing different limits. We have some struggling 5NL players but we also have winning 1000NL players.

If you join our group there are a few requirements:

* Fill out our Google documents with basic information about you
* Have a microphone
* Take part in hand discussions
* Take part in poker discussions
* Take part in sweat sessions
* Take part in recorded or review sessions
* To not whine about bad beats / suckouts / downswings
* To not make off topic conversations in our group
* To respect other members and understand that some are not as experienced than you

In this group we prune members who are not active and we also remove any members who are abusive and do not try to help other members.

If you would like to be a part on this group please post in this thread using this form:

Re: uNL Collection of Study Groups

Hello everyone,
I am currently a 6M 10NL player at UB (only site I can play in WA right now) and I'm looking to build a network of poker players to bounce ideas around. Currently winning at 7ptbb/100 but looking to develop my hand reading skills and learn how to get better against aggressive players as they seem to be where I lose most of my money.

Skype Name: jonathan.ullberg
AIM: jonathan.ullberg

I also have a Deuces Cracked membership so if anyone wants to go over videos on there I'd be down.

I also have everything set up for a sweat if anyone's interested.

Winrate:
January NL10 14bb/100 over 15k hands.
February 20nl 7BB/100 over 10k hands

I was using 2+2 before, but with my brother account. Just created new account.

I am interested in joining the study group, please email me if you are interested too.
P.S. My native language is Russian, but currently I'm studying in UK.
Sorry for mistakes.
