Junkier stuff that I called the minraise with that is not good enough to call another bet, actually. Not that balance really matters though, we just don't want him to check back sets//overpairs with FD/TP+fd etc.

oh i see, but don't you think most people still call this turn with the hands you mentioned, what's your plan for the river? turn our weak made hand into a bluff?

apologies for derailing the thread a little...

c/fold if another club comes down or the board pairs (other than the 9c), bet out if a blank hits

vs spews like this sometimes i really like check calling the turn after your flop line.

then CRAI rivers. Guy will often bomb cards he thinks are scary to your typical hand in this spot 'pair holding on'. Can often get a big river bet outa this guy on his bluffs.

That's what I was thinking when I did it. Like I said I didn't really know what size to make the reraise there....so I went for something like pot size which I thought would be pretty standard.

In fact I thought if I made it smaller it might look like I really wanted to keep him in and that might actually make him fold, so I went over the pot so it might look like I was trying to scare him off. But obv we are both committed at that point if he stays in.

I guess ultimately I'm just feeling really lost bcs I keep getting my ass absolutely handed to me even with what seem to me to be strong hands. So I'm wondering if there was some way I could have done things differently so I don't end up with all my chips in with the worse hand.

But when I have a flush heads up I feel like getting all my chips in is absolutely what I should be trying to do.

I'm just completely mind****ed atm I guess.

Leading turn is pretty good if villain doesn't barrel and is incapable of vbetting thin.
