Hero is SB with A♥️5♣️ (100BB)
Villan is BB (100BB)

All folds, Hero raise 3BB, BB call.
(Pot 6BB)

Flop: A♣️5♠️Q♣️
Hero bet 2BB, BB call
(Pot 10BB)

Turn: 9♥️
Hero bet 15BB, BB call
(Pot 40BB)

River: 6♦️
Hero?

How many size do we have here? I am splitting small (67%) and big (150%). Should we develop a small size range?

Not sure the river is not as much of a brick with this one. We have a small nut advantage with our sets but BB will have more 2p and Ax in general that call the OB (and even some Qx in theory, ymmv) which we won't, so EV is much tighter on the river.

So still a value bet with 2p, I'd say mainly stick to 66% though. Anything higher we polarise to sets+ and they may end up easily overfolding. (might be good bluff size!!)

I dont' know how to deploy small river bets yet. apart from when we're trapping thin value in obvious spots like AT642. I think this hand deserves to fight for more chips though so it's using unnecessary brain fuel.

I struggle with sizing/frequency in valuebetting these spots too. I think in theory this might be slightly too weak to be a jam (guessing A6 is the threshold) but definitely can use 75% here.

I think here we need 3 size, small for our AK, medium for 2p, overbet for nutted hands

I think we should just run the rng to mix sizing

This was from a video about turn barreling, but I don't see why it wouldn't apply here as well.

Another thing they point out regarding sizing is how the turn, or in your case the river, card affects the equity of each player's range.

On straight/flush completing cards, we can just use a smaller sizing.

For your hand, the only draw that really gets there is 87cc. So the 6d is pretty neutral and a relative blank. Therefore, we can just keep things simple and use a big size with any of the hands in our range that want to bet.

If we arrive in this node with AK I think we still want to bet on the river and I don't think we can bet AK for 2/3. Having multiple sizing will give us the opportunity to value bet thinner.

Obviously if we don't mix, every time we bet 1/3 Villan can abuse us by jamming atc.

On this river we have to split, one psb seem a bit lazy as strategy but I could be wrong. To mix we can use the RNG or for example, we can go small with hands that block Villan calling range like the hand that I have in this spot (or AA, AQ) and go big with hand that unblock Villan CR (99, 55, 87).
