villian is 20/10, he only called in the small blind and flatted my raise, so I don't think he have AK or AQ or maybe even AT, 99,94 isnt likely either, 44 is the only possible hands that beat me. however I ended up folding because his big check raise scared me. was the fold correct?
my 2nd question is that if i have called, he still have about 5$ behind, what do I do if he bet again or shoves on the turn? what do i do if he checks? check behind or bet?

thank you very much, any advice is appreciated!

BTN: $1.03

Flop: ($0.60) A 9 4 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.40, CO folds, SB raises to $1.80 Hero Folds

Good fold. I think were beaten here the majority of the time. If you call this and he checks the turn, we check behind. He's not folding anything that beats us and is unlikely to call with worse.

Seems like a reasonable fold i cant see a guy with 20/10 stats at 5NL making a move against you with air on a board like this if you have been playing solid. I am pretty sure you are beat here.
