Hey guys below Is a screen shot of my current HUD.



I took the same HUD that's recommended in Verneer's golden thread here;

However, As you can see from someone like myself who has destroyed my game and am rebuilding from the micros, this Is bananas. It's too big for me, I want something that has all the right stats for the micros, 2nl-10nl. I also noticed I don't have attempt to steal here, Im a bit confuzzled. Can you help me please?

I wanted to create a thread for others In the same position.

Has anyone got any suggestions for the perfect HUD at the micros?
Would anyone kindly share a screen-shot of their HUD?

Hopefully what this thread can do Is Identify a perfect HUD for the micros to help myself and others.

I just use the default pt hud.... If I need more info I can always click to see more.

Sorry did i mention i use HEM?

basically Im looking to put together an ace HUD, maybe give an edge over the default hud?

Having too many stats in your HUD is not very helpful at the micros because the player pool is too big. Most of the fancy stats take hundreds (if not thousands) of hands to become meaningful. Just have vpip, pfr, 3b, F3, steal%, cbet%. If you need to look at more stats just use the pop up.

3b/f3b/hands

i find limp/fold % very useful because at micros there are so much limping and even if you get some % on 5 hands it gives you some information. no point to isolate player with 0% on 5 hands

I got this configuration of off verneer as well but I'm pretty sure I tweaked it a little bit. It's great for knowing how light you can steal vs the blinds.

solid color them in blocks of two. that will help your eyes find the one you're looking for faster.

Beside this I also use the flop/turn/river aggression frequency(!) stats. They are very useful.

On the other hand I also use colours which makes easier to quickly identify possible leaks.

This is what mine looks like:

vpip/pfr/agg fac
3bet/fold 3 bet/4 bet/fold to four bet
steal blind/fold to blind steal/call blind steal/raise blind steal
flop cbet/turn cbet/fold to flop cbet/fold to turn cbet

color coded most of these to what I think is an exploitable range. I have three colors used throughout: red, cyan, green. Red if playing tight, blue if playing normal range, green if loose. For example, under 3 bet, less than 4% i have red, 5-7 i have cyan, 8+ i have green. Lets me know when someone is 3betting light.

Only playing nl5 and most of these stats are not going to be relevant, but I want to become acclimated so that if I move up I am familiar with these stats. Hope this helped.

You can assign colours to ranges:
HUD Options --> Player Preferences --> Stats --> Color Ranges for Name

I know alot of people like to use alot of colors but I like to use just one. Any stat that is green means it can be exploited. Like if villains CO STL is 67, it'll be green and I'll automatically know to 3bet him a little wide OTB or to flat him more. If you want to use more than one color you should get advice from someone who uses multi colors to get an idea of how they use it and why.

I typically use three colours:
  • Green for fishy stats (e.g. VP$IP > 29)
  • Red for solid (regish) stats (e.g. 17 < VP$IP < 28)
  • Blue for nitty stats (e.g. VP$IP < 16)

Of course the usefullness of these ranges are quite debatable and they are certainly level dependent, but they help me a lot if I want a quick overview of the villain. For the most important decisions I always use the popup stats.

key. at the very least, you must understand the ones you're trying to use.

OP you have way too many stats in your HUD. if you can't glance at it and automatically know which stat represents what, then you're using too many.
