SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has Q J

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.25, fold, BB raises to $0.90, Hero calls $0.65
Ok to call here? Obviously I am even worse in 3b pots than in single raised!

Flop: ($1.85, 2 players) K A 9
BB checks, Hero checks
Would you bet at this flop? Is his range a little capped by not betting here?

Turn: ($1.85, 2 players) 4
BB checks, Hero bets $1.10, BB calls $1.10
I bet to take it down now as he cannot have much value I think.

River: ($4.05, 2 players) 3
BB checks,
What size? My thoughts (in review) are to go small to get a call from his possibly capped range.

bet flop imo
I think betting small is good here. 1.5 or something. He'll show up with Kx, QQ, A2-A5 here a lot

Im fine with checking behind, we don't want a x/r and hands that he will fold otf will also fold ott.

River sizing can be everything, you can bet smallish to get called by Kx or something, but you can also bet big (overbet) to make your range more polarized and fos.

how often do we get c/r? not too often I think
AA,KK, AK will bet at least the majority of the time

This is not a really good flop for AA/KK/AK bc it hit the range of the 3b so hard so it is hard to get value from worse, that is why I think ppl will definitely consider an x/r here.

1/2 pot on the river seems fine, doesn't seem like he has much

Why do we call pre if we check back, when we crush the board like this?

What has checking this board to do with calling pre ?? And it's not like we have top set or something, we are still behind/flippping vs Kx.

His checking range consist of 3 types of hands:
-Nuts going for x/r
-Medium like KQ/A2 or something
-Stuff he will fold like 76 or something, maybe QQ/JJ etc

So vs type 1 we don't want to bet
Vs type 2 we are still behind, but almost a coinflip, doesn't really matter if we bet vs those hands or not.
Vs type 3, as I said before, they most likely fold to an turnbet anyway, so it doesn't really matter if we bet or not.

I'm betting flop when he checks and betting all turns and rivers expect when the king pairs. The most likely hand he has is Kx. Checking back is fine but I think getting him to call 1-2 streets is higher ev.

As played I'm checking back turn because he is calling it so often and I don't know if he'll fold to a second bet otr.

As played, yes anything from 1/2 to 2/3 pot is fine otr.

If he check calls 1-2 streets to fold later (which I think he does) it's way way better to bet

Is bet small otf. Like 1/3 pot. Similar ott. Small enough that he raises either otf or ott if he has a strong hand. Overbetting the river if we whiff. Since we did hit I want a call. Like 1/2 pot. Maybe 60% pot.

I'd just go into bet bet shove mode from flop onwards unless the K or A pair. We have good enough equity and we can get him to lay down Kx or maybe even a very weak Ax depending on how fishy he turns out to be.

Sure sometimes he has AA or KK and c/r and se would have to get it in while behind but we will still have decent equity and those times are offset by him c/c once or twice by a weak made hand and then folding.
