Been having a discussion with a friend over this hand so i'd like to hear other opinions.

-We have Ah which leaves villain with less possible FDs
-We check flop to induce bets from hands with little equity which would otherwise fold to our flop bet.
-Our hand is not strong enough to bet 3 barrels for value unless we hit 2pair, flush or str8
-We still get 2 streets of value from worse hands which would call flop and turn in case we cbet.
-Not many worse hands will bet 3 barrels here at microstakes and most worse hands which bet flop and turn for value will check river.

I think if you check this flop you might miss some value and that would mean that when you do bet, your range is going to be weak. So pretty standard c-bet spot to me.

River is tough, folding looks right?

What hands would he be getting value from? JJ, QQ, QhJh, KhJh, KhQh (12 combos) are the only worse hands that I can see calling. Against AT, AQ, and TT (17 combos) wouldn't checking be better to keep his range wider and let him bluff?

I see no issue with this hand. Well played.

Don't think Vs at this stake are capable of going 3 streets with air or turning a pair into a bluff so I think folding is okay.

If we're shifting our calling range up since villains aren't likely to triple off at 2nl, which I can get behind, what about raising for a bluff here? This is probably the top of our folding range here, we block QJ, and our nut flushes play this way, no?

Putting it that way, I can see why checking could be a stronger play if villain bites. (He bluffs even though you likely are checking SDV here).

My reasoning behind betting the flop was villain might call with all his Tx hands that would instead checkback if given the chance for some pot control, and possibly fold on a later street.

But after careful analysis, maybe there aren't many Tx hands that villain would play that would get to see a flop.

T9s? TJs? TQs? TKs? TA?
Which of these hands would you guys call 3 bet IP pre?

And how heavily weighted would hero be towards Ax after a cbet here? I think this determines if you even call with Tx on flop.

Some food for thought.
