[5NL] AA facing aggression

Hero (UTG): €5.88
CO: €4.85
BTN: €6.44 18/13 over 506 hands, steal% 21, foldtosteal% 68, fcbet% 42, fdonk% 6
SB: €3.52
BB: €6.21

SB posts SB €0.02, BB posts BB €0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: €0.07) Hero has A A

Hero raises to €0.20, fold, BTN calls €0.20, fold, fold

Flop: (€0.47, 2 players) 2 Q 5
Hero bets €0.35, BTN raises to €1.00, Hero calls €0.65

Turn: (€2.47, 2 players) 2
Hero checks, BTN bets €2.00, fold

Someone wants to fold flop?

As I see it (but I might be wrong) on the flop it's a set or a flush draw (given that he 3bets KK), Since I have the A there not much flush draws left...

Re: [5NL] AA facing aggression

i'm folding the flop vs this guy, esp with us having the As and the Qs being on the board.

after 506 hands you should have a c/r% though, if its ~5-10% I snap fold.

Turn is actually interesting as it deminishes his set combos.

the turn is awesome for us as now he has less sets in his range given his low f2cbet% too.

i call again and prob call most bricked rivers

I don't understand.

Yeah, the 2 turns 3 combos of 22, into 1 combo. But he still bets big, thus I doubt he has AQ/KQ on the turn.

Re: [5NL] AA facing aggression

we play against ranges, and his value ranges has decreased somewhat due to that card. QQ would 3bet pre some % of the time given postions, so they have like 55/flushdraws and air. I like AA against that range

Your hand looks like a fd why wouldn't he bet AQ KQ big ? That turn makes it impossible to get away from now id just shove the turn.

ok.

But all this assuming he raises top pair IP on the flop.

ps. I really really doubt this guy (with his profile) has air here.

Re: [5NL] AA facing aggression

I usually just muck these on the flop vs tighter players just assign them a very strong range (sets) and fold. Even if he re-raises AQ here and a few fd's of which there are not many an 18/13 can have here, along with all his sets then your still only flipping with him vs that range. I usually prefer getting my money in the pot when im in a bit better shape than flipping. If he doesn't raise AQ in these spots your screwed equity wise vs sets and very few fd's. You've got to start putting 3-4 f'ds and KQ AQ into his re-raise range here to make you an ok favorite against his range.

If you have info that he reraises KQ AQ here then its obviously an all in as you would be 2/1 against his range. Nits tend to call with those though and play through the streets from my experience. He's not become a nit by stacking of tp to regularly.

I'd fold... IMHO we are only ahead of blufs here.

Also if he takes a calling line and turn and rivers are good then just bet bet shove and make a not if he slow played a set on that flop.
