20nl: kq line check

Villain was running 33/22 with 1.6AF and 13% fold to 3bet (1/8) 40% fold to cbet over 100 hands.

Otf I considered c/fing but I figured villain's range is going to be so wide it just felt too weak c/fing. I also think I prefer 3betting bigger.

Re: 20nl: kq line check

I like bigger pre as you said

I like check folding because a guy like this will often float to a better overcard, i.e AK/AQ if he doesn't 4b them pre, which is likely enough because of his stats.

also our outs are tainted because of the fd and he prob has a lot of fd combo's in his range and we also dont have a spade to back us up and give us barreling equity plus block his draws.

also the board is a bit more connected and we get peeled a lot.

I might try a XR here if I think it's too weak vs him to just XF. we can induce bets from his air hands and then blow him off them and clean up our outs a bit (since he most likely bet/folds AK/AQ although maybe not lol and all his other wiffed paint and trashy type hands, 65s/Q9s or w/e), whereas just cbetting he is likely to call with them and his range is still pretty undefined and its easy to make a mistake on multiple turns with no real plan.

even if he floats a lot of over cards, they still hit this board a bit harder than other boards with the fd and T being out there. like obv his suited paint hits fd's that wont fold and some QTs/KTs/ATs isnt folding, so not as much fold equity on turn.

if it were 972ss I might bet with intention of barreling every turn and jamming some rivers since there can be a lot of FE ott against his floats and river we can fold out some shiz that peeled us light .

Re: 20nl: kq line check

Is it good to be 3betting here PF when we're OOP and know he's going to call us most of the time?

Or is that exactly what we're looking for considering he'll be calling us weak alot of the time?

ye we want him to call us with worse hands then start value towning him when we hit a decent pair and also take the pot down a good amount outplaying him
