Re: 10NL KTo

To me this is a fold.

Even if we assign the villain a generous range of KK, QQh, JJ, 1010, AQ, J10, JK and Q9 we have 30% equity in the hand, and we need 33% from the pot odds to break even.

While the villain may be bluffing here rarely, the over the top shove would make me believe this is a straight which doesn't want to see another heart far more often than the other combinations which makes us an even worse dog. Besides at 10NL there are far better spots to get our money in and avoid possible tilt.

Code:
Hands	Combinations	Equity	Comb * EV
KK 1 6.16 6.16
QQh 3 62.4 187.2
JJ 3 14.75 44.25
1010 1 15.5 15.5
AQ 16 20.47 327.52
J10 6 90.1 540.6
JK 6 14.93 89.58
Q9 16 21.69 347.04
	              52 1557 30%

the range you gave him is hilarious.

I'm new at this, so what would you change? I'd have thought the range I gave was generous - is it not?

Fair enough. Out of interest does anyone have stats from their databases on how often a shove pre-flop/on the flop is air?

Re: 10NL KTo

I would call there. You have a good hand vs. a limper in BvB.
Even if he has the straight, you still have outs to chop, make broadway
or manage to make a boat.

Re: 10NL KTo

id just fold, I dont think a fish is gonna overjam here with a weak pair+draw to win 80cents. I can defo see them jamming with a straight scared of a flush though. Kj is a bit closer, but KT i fold. AA they can have which tried to slow play now and again and now thinks "oh chit" thats a bad flop, jam.
