10NL - KQ (TPGK) vs unknown (Line Check)

Hi,

Villain: unknown, but according to his stacksize he probably is a fish.

Button ($8.67)
SB ($21.22)
BB ($4.16)
UTG ($4.34)
Hero (MP) ($12.61)
CO ($7.61)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K, Q
1 fold, Hero bets $0.30, 1 fold, Button calls $0.30, 1 fold, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.95) 4, Q, 8 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.70, Button calls $0.70, 1 fold

Turn: ($2.35) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.45, Button calls $1.45

River: ($5.25) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.60, Button calls $2.60

1.) 3 Barrels standard here?
2.) Does anyone prefer river ch/c?

Thanks in advance guys.

I'd check-call river, to catch bluffs against missed FD. Then again, I suck at river play, I got no idea what's the highest EV play here.

both c-c and betting are fine here, id prob just fire 3 hoping they call with Qx, as there prob not good enough to bet there own Qx hand on the river for "thin value"

you can go bet bet shove here

at least bet bigger on the turn

I would go c/c otr if he snaps both streets

Agreed, most villains even check back AQ here (what obv would be great for me)

Yes, good point.

That´s interesting. According to my observations a snap-call means that villain has a mediocre holding and wants to show it down as quick as possible. Therefore it doesn´t make a lot of sense to c/c but rather to bet myself in order to dictate the size of the pot. Sure he might snap call draws as well but in my opinion most players at least spend 2-3 seconds thinking about whatever they think about (gut instinct, minraising, ...)

Is bet/bet/shove your default against unknowns?
