I really didn't give it a second thought, it was like a snapcall. I wondered if I should have bet more on the turn.

I'm losing to a weird A3, K3, 34 kinda hand which I really think he doesn't call my 3bet with pre-flop. Then there's AK/AA/QQ which I'm sure he 4bets with.

How often do I expect to see J10 here?

How often is villain's line a busted flush draw making a desperation bluff?

it's tough to say, since it's very villain dependent. turn bet should be a little bigger, i agree, maybe somewhere in the range of 0.50$ - 0.60$. if villain does chase gutters w JT otf AND ott; then just make a note and value town him next time with big bets. also, if he bluffs with busted FD; take a note and call him down lighter next time.

If I bet more on the turn, say 0.60 and the villain still calls. We're looking at a pot of $1.92 with $1.22 remaining in my stack. If he shoves as he did, the pot will be $3.14 and I'll be looking at 2.5/1 on the call. Doesn't the hand very likely play out the same way on every river that isn't a spade in that without a 3 or AK in his range very often, I have to call?

I'm second guessing myself a little on the hand, it'd be good to see what a few more people say about it.

If you opponent is competent it's fine. Sometimes hard to tell if an opponent is competent at these stakes but I like the fold.

Villain is running like 74/17 over about 16 hands, definitely a fish despite small sample. Has a 100% call PFR from 7 hands of 7 oppurtunities. When he calls I definitely believe he has every Ax combo in his range but also a ton of other junk he might be overplaying.

My image is probably a little aggressive as he had previously limp-called my raise when I had AK. He donked small on a Q high board, I raised and he called. He lead the turn for about 2/3 pot and I folded.

Probably should have bet turn....Weak tight-scared on the turn or has villain just outflopped me?

Not like these spots come up very often, but I always end up doubting myself afterwards.
UTG is a nit (~14/9 at that time, hadn't opened once from EP yet after 80 hands), fwiw he's 29/23 after 350 hands now in my database but I couldn't have known that at that time.

At first I thought my sizing was terrible, but is it really that bad? Also, do you flat or 3-bet here?

Villain is 25/17/33 after just 12 hands. Hadn't seen him do anything out of the ordinary. I don't think he's a fish as I've seen him at the tables before but I'm guessing.

Shoud I be 4betting pre-flop here? Am I definitely folding to a 5bet shove?

I think flop call is standard but if he leads the turn am I willing to stack off with an overpair? I always seem to get into these situations and end up stacking off when I'm crushed by QQ, KK, AA.

Once he checks I think turn bet is compulsory. Any help appreciated...

There's no way of knowing since hes just clicking buttons and as you said he has every Ax. If he's passive on rivers, you can c/c turn and c/f river. If he's passive on flops, you can start by checking. Good 3bet size pre.

Before you bet turn you need to know whether or not you are b/cing. Checking back turn is totally fine if you think his range is QQ+,AK (which means you are bluffcatching). He's not c/cing AK so there isn't that much value in betting vs that range. Call river non A/K if he leads.

Thanks for the help, appreciate it.

On the second hand, I guess I didn't think through betting. My thought at the time was he was an aggressive player who had given up on the turn. I'm putting him on a wide range of overcards like AK, AQ, AJ, KQ as well as 99 and 10s which I'm ahead of. I think he leads the flop for sure with any draw draw and any OESD like if he held 88 or 44 so I don't put him on those given they're pretty unlikely anyway.

I guess I figured that I simply don't want to see a river. Whether that is a legitimate reason to bet out I don't know. This is an area of my game that definitely needs work. I often misplay overpairs in this kind of situation.

@ antonio,
I really like checking the turn, so we don't inadvertently barrel him off 9x or some weak draw. I think barreling small is fine too.
