What's your plan if you're not relocating ponty?

I haven't fully decided yet tbh. I basically only plan to be in poker for the next 12 months or so since I have been finalising a get out plan for some while and 2018 was going to be the year to stop (at least full time).

I have some options I guess, ACR and chico would probably be enough to sustain me for the 12 months, There are some other really small networks that may be worth playing ,as well as the possibility of finally caving and doing some coaching to pass the time (which i've always refused to do before).

But yeah i imagine it will still be 95% playing poker, maybe the odd bit of coaching if there was any demand for it but i want to concentrate on playing as much as i can at the moment.

What about yourself?

Nice man.

I've got a few things organised at home over the next few months so i'll probably just experiment with these shady sites and play some live poker for a little while. Then i'll decide on whether or not to relocate. Good luck to us both

The leak is that if you have KK, every time theres a ace on the flop, lost like 3 times like this today.

Dnegs really is a piece of ****. His argument may have held some muster if the huge cash grabs stars had done recently actually went to recreational players rather than merely being pocketed by themselves. There was ,assive rake redistributions that went to stars and not really to rec players as they said, and they decided to screw everyone with their "mid month **** your fpps" level thing. Dnegs has zero integrity which makes all the rest of his pompous bull**** even less palatable.

There's currently a chance that the bill may be pushed back till middle of may and not voted in to law right now as was previously expected. We should know by the end of today.

So if you are reading this, ask yourself the following question and be honest: given the choice of these two options, which is a better game to choose if you are Bhupan? Sitting with the sharks, or paying the extra rake and facing off against weaker opponents? Be honest.
I have a very small live experience but I've always heard fish complain about other fish calling down, chasing every piece of the board... Im pretty sure a bunch of Bhupan would still prefer to sit with regs because he wants to be able to play poker, get some folds from people who are going to respect his raises

Nah fish like to gamble. If people aren't gambling then they're "playing like robots". Plus fish are generally more fun to be at the table with.

But then like Ponty said, I could get on board with his argument if Stars actually reallocated the millions of dollars they're going to take from the regs and either give it to the fish or use it to recruit more fish. But that ain't going to happen, ever. They'll prob point to some promotion that gives away $100k or something so they can justify it, but they'll never reinvest anything close to the full amount.

Hello,

We are writing to inform you that a frequent opponent of yours 'OneIsAll' has been granted a Stars ID change to 'Show0fForce'.

We take a very strict stance on changing Stars IDs. In an ideal world, there would be no changing of Stars IDs, just as it is not normally possible to change your identity when playing in live poker games.

That said, we accept that there will, very rarely, be situations where it is reasonable to allow such a Stars ID change. This happened to be one of those instances.

As we do not want this player to gain an advantage by hiding behind a new identity, we are ensuring his frequent opponents are aware of this change.

If you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your understanding and for choosing us.

Regards,
Stars Game Integrity Team
Thanks for that. At least 20 days after he changed his name.

That is pretty gross, asked him (and another couple of guys) at the tables what their previous screen names were (since pretty ****ing obvious they were not new players). He just laughed and refused to answer. I assumed he was a multi accounter rather than stars letting him change his sn though.

There is at least 4 or 5 other guys at 400nl that, seem extremely competent players but for whatever reason decided to never make a stars account until 2017. like i said in the midstakes thread, it's just utter bollocks.

Edit, just to add this here, i don't have a problem if stars thought he had a legitimate reason to change his SN. Just the whole process seems flawed though.

What can even be a legitimate reason for changing sn?

Stars has allowed some people to change their screen names if they had used their real names. Pretty certain that current player Error u lose was subject to that.

As for other reasons I do know of a player 7 years ago or more who had bragged a little too much to the wrong people. It really is as crazy as it sounds, a mixture of mafia/corrupt police officers, kidnapped/tied him up and held him to ransom until he cashed out his poker accounts and transferred them the money. He fled the country and stars allowed him to change his SN.
