The turn opens a gut shot and I think is fine betting it... Thoughts?

Seems perfectly fine. You don't gain too much equity ott though. The reason for betting is because there are hands you are ahead of now given the 7d and others that you fold out which may be marginal. Better to bet because the club didn't come and having an appropriate cbet/ turn bet frequency than because you now may have three clean outs to the nuts.

Bet smaller flop if you're going to bet 66 here. AP you need to barrel this turn after betting flop.
