MP ($60.77) - VPIP: 49, PFR: 23, 3B: 0, AF: 2.0, WTSD: 30%, WonSD: 67%, Hands: 47

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, Q
UTG calls $0.25, MP raises $1, Hero raises $3, 3 folds, MP calls $2

Flop: ($6.60) 9, 4, 7 (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $3.65, MP calls $3.65

River: ($32.90) 4 (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $20, MP raises $44.62 (All-In)

Villain and I are deepstacked here. He has been quite the maniac and showing up with a wide range of hands. Do you feel I have been overplaying my hand here? Is this an easy call vs a maniac villain with these stats?

Are you overplaying your hand: no, vilain always have worst hands to call you (TT, JJ)
Is this an easy call on the river: No
Is this a call you have to make: probably. If you think GTO, you probably can't fold and since you say that villain is a maniac, it probably is + EV to call.

Maybe there's merit to just shoving river? Doubt he folds JJ/TT and he shouldn't have AA/KK.

Good to know. I know there can be a fine line between overplaying a hand and playing profitable , and sometimes that line can get blurred causing me to cross it. Glad to know I was staying on the right side of it.

I think this is a good board runout for our hand. Would love to know his fold to 3bet stat but sample is so small that I don't think it's relevant. Regardless, we're ahead of TT and JJ and that's about it. 99 and 77 have us crushed as well as KK and AA. I don't think I fold in the heat of the moment but it seems that there's a lot more value hands in his range than bluffs. I don't think he'd have much incentive to turn TT or JJ into a bluff here. I would say you should fold here but I'd be lying if I said I'd do it in game.

I think this is an easy call.

villain has no better pair than us. KK+ would 4bet.
villain has no 4xhands in a 3bet pot. so we only lose against 99 and 77(8 kombos)

we beat ALL others, every 9x 7x and every other pair (he will take this line probably only whith TT and JJ).

So only if we think about the pocket pairs the call is profitable, let alone connector hands... I think this is an easy call

PS and i say this as i got §/!& the other day as my AA ran into 4 of a kind on the same board structure (although it was a T in my case)

Pretty hard for us to have the best hand when villain does this. It's a pretty gross spot. I dont think we can fold though

I think there's some merit to just checking back turn in these spots due to this. We don't have any 4's and he probably has a decent amount. I love giving these types of villains the chance to bluff the river too.

When there is a merit checking turn then bet turn and check river should be better.
Unless we know for sure MP plays some AA/KK by call pre we should have 3 streets value.

I want to check turn and bet river, or just call a river bet. I guess by not betting we miss value from flush draws, but we are over 200bbs deep in a 3bet pot vs. a maniac that can have some 4's here. I just think it plays better as a check.

I dont understand what you mean by if we can check turn, it's better to bet turn and check river.

Your flop sizing is way too small vs this opponent.
This is also the solution to your river problem.

Yeah. I think I can definitely bet the flop bigger here against a maniac.
