I would bet this flop with QQ, as you do not want to see a Ace or King on the turn/river. I would rather check AA, as it can not be outdrawn so easy as QQ. As played it seems to be okay. Your raise on the river get called only by TT, JJ and probably by some random 5x/Tx which he should not have to many in his range. Population has usually difficulties to fold full houses on this board.

Yeah man I don't see why you'd bother checking this flop.

I think your sizing is too small on the raise preflop. You want to be able to just bet, bet, bet and take all his money. If you cant get in by showdown, just check raise the turn or river.

Keep things simple. There's no reason to make weird complicated lines when your against the weakest players poker has to offer. Keep it simple stupid.

I like it.

Flop - Think AK is not in his range too often so he only has 3 over card outs to us maximum - let him bluff.

Turn - same.

River - Perfect.

I also like the way you played this hand.

This is probably one of the best flops to set the trap.
In fact villain should normally not have AK or TT (I just do not suggest them to call this hand from the button against CO open - if they do so I might be wrong).

Trying to induce a bluff on this flop is a really good choice, i just think our hand is so good we do not have to be scared except an ace comes up.

I am also pushing the river, he might still call with all the Tx Combos, very hard for him to have a five or a higher pair.

I like

When we check and then call the flop we look like we have an ok value hand. This means that the villain is not likely to bet the turn and so we miss value on alllllll his PPs. Which is a big part of his range.

If we check and then raise the flop, our range will look nutish, and so we will miss value from all sorts of hands.

If we bet, our range will look reasonably weak, we have all sorts in there. He could float us with those bluffs, but most of his range is PPs anyway. On the turn we then check, our range looks weak, and so if he has floated or has a PP we make this second bet from him. That's the bluffs rinsed for as much as possible, and now all we need to do is make sure we get stacks in against his PPs. I think the raise on the turn is an ok way to make sure we're playing for stacks. We will look strong, but how many players in these stakes can fold any full house... Not very many. They might think we are pretending to hold the quads.

Little larger pre being OOP imo.

Mandatory bet/bet/bet vs unknown 5NL villain given preflop action. In general, 5NL players are far more likely to call 3 streets here than barrel off 3 streets with air or Tx (often seen some incredibly nitty x backs assuming we trapped with AA). Given pre action, villain is likely either set mining so will x back a lot otf or is a fish we are missing value with. Additionally all our bluffs want to absolutely hammer this guy postflop as we own them equity wise on paired flops.

If we are going to trap here, would much rather bet small otf and x turns (also only would do with KK/AA/TT) but still prefer b/b/b here.

For sure I think X/C at least 2 streets gets more money then taking the B/B/B line especially on this board.

Plus we disguise our hand strength and villain can easily over play his weaker full houses and he has the option to bluff at it.

If they're overplaying their weaker FHs, they're calling at least 2 streets with them too plus we get to dictate the sizing. If we do want to trap, I'd rather AA/TT here and I'd still cbet 1/3p otf and x turns, as it looks far weaker.

I don't think there are many non-pairs in villains range, plus they don't have many natural bluffs (no straight/flush draws) either. Vs 5NL pool, who are incredibly passive and are more likely to make calling mistakes, betting in general is a far better option than 'trapping'.

Bolded for no reason. Why do you contradict yourself? "For sure" means you are sure of it. Your next words are "I think" which indicates that you're unsure of it. lolz. Anyways, the reason I posted is to ask why you post the hand if you're sure of what you did? Someone says something about how to play it and you're like "nahhhhh. I got this.". The only part you left out in that is the river which isn't interesting, in the least.
