Your getting about 2-1 otr and I think it is a call. The mistakes here are pre and otf.

4x pre to play a headsup pot in position vs CO fish (regs don't play a 40bb stack and post a dead blind)

As played fold flop
As played very easy call river

Well, his range is wide. 40bb openposting BB fish, no raise pre. Surely you'll see a bunch of weird **** here. Every two pair, toppair, second pair, missed draws etc etc.

Our range... We shouldn't have this in our range of course. Getting to this point with this hand however, disregarding villains range, makes it already an easy call.

Player profile taken into account, don't think he's that likely to play a flush draw aggressively, not like mindonk flop turn to pot river, that kind of stuff. Calling has to be quite +EV needing like 38%.

We overlimped. His range is any 2 going to the flop.

Villain will also show up on the river with the odd 56o or whatever...

I'll bet you a McDouble V would have bet AA preflop at some frequency.
