I'm not sure if it is bad to call utg and then call a squeeze, but it was kinda smallish and I do have 88 on the BU, though a 3bet to utg looks pretty strong'.

The call is fine with medium pocket pair in position vs a SB squeeze. On the flop I would raise, because I will raise my 77/66/99 and other draw combos + straights (Not always but the majority of the time, balancing it out with a flat from time to time). The turn hits SBs range pretty hard and when he continues you have to fold. AP if you call turn, why do you fold river to a 1/3 pot bet when river bricks?

as played I would call river, like the idea of a flop raise too

Not loving preflop with 10-1 stack to call ratio.
I would 3bet 99,8Ts,79s,mix with 67s. So I only have 66,77 as strong hands here. If we have a raising range we could raise 3 TJs with bdfd, dont know if we need more combos than this so could include some 88 I guess. I am inclined to float everything. That said, a flop raise is fine because we are perceived strong on this flop.

I think pre is pretty meh, and the flop is alright. I don't hate raising, but I'd rather do it with some kind of read. I'd fold the turn. Doesn't seem easy for villain to have bluffs, and we can't really assume he's just going to blast off with AQ using these sizings. Our implied odds are pretty bad, and we might not even have direct odds.

What makes you want to 3bet with 99 pre?

That flop hits your face up range so hard that it's surprising villain bet there. If he's a reg or has shown that he has a functioning brain in the past, I'd overfold turns for sure.

It's just about strong enough for pure value, I think. If TT is a raise then it's less of a debate, obv if we are flatting TT and maybe JJ then 99 would/should also be a flat.
