Whats the min I need to work use as ref?

So I recently got a job in my field (environmental ~materials testing), but I'm not liking the job as much anymore (really high pressure business), and I really don't like where I'm living.

But, I feel like it would look good on a resume moving into something I'd rather do; so my question is how long would I have to stick it out before I can put this on a resume and expect a positive response? A year? Does anyone think I could make a move in six months without looking like a total goober?

Thanks.

6 months is definitely fine for an internship. Not sure bout a real job. A year would be fine but idk bout less.

How long have you been there? I would guess 6 months to a year. But it's not like you're going to quit before you get another job, so the real answer is "until you get another job"
