Things you wish you had/hadn't done? Things you wish you had/hadn't done?

In your college years, whether now or the past, what are things you wish you had done more of, or things you wish you hadn't done.

Many people, not just here, but in general, say how they wish they could be young again. What would you change about what you did? Could be with college itself, job preparations, girls, etc.

I went to CC out of high school, so the first would be to go to a university right away and live in the dorms, because that seems to be the best way to make friends and people who you will live with the rest of the time.

Definitely should have gone out more especially when I was invited to.

Made a larger group of friends cause things can change quick.

Wish I hadn't drank so much during the week my "sophomore" year and missed so much class

Smash more girls obv

Girls I'd def change my approach, especially early in college just look to have fun. Don't get into anything serious.

Basically try to do everything. Get involved and do not be antisocial

Should've studied abroad.

Studied abroad, got a major that you can actually get a good paying job (accounting, comp sci), taken even more advantage of how easy it is to meet a ton of sexy girls who aren't married or engaged yet, met more people, played less poker

Just to add to this: If you go to school away from home and live in a dorm, spend most of your time getting to know people on your floor and/or around the building! When I went to school I had a bunch of friends who were a year older than me renting a house downtown off campus. I spent most of my time hanging out there first year and it really affected my ability to develop strong friendships with my floormates. A couple years later and all my friends had transferred schools or graduated and I didn't have anyone to hang out with. Kinda sucked.

Have a job in mind the first day of freshman year and take a specific path to get it. I just thought graduating from the school I went to would handle getting a good job. I did get a high paying job although not in my field, I had no idea what I was doing, left after about 8 months and now even while grad school is ending I have no prospects.

And sit next to the hottest girl in every class.

I would have sexed all the girls I turned down because I thought they weren't that hot, even though I was right about that.

It's funny how this works. I have a couple girls who I could have smashed and effectively turned them down. Kinda sucks now cause my numbers would be higher.

oh well YOLO

Study less. I took everything way too seriously and missed out on opportunities to make memories. I should've taken out a student loan instead of working two bull **** jobs. Basically I wish that I had goofed off more and not been so motivated to get grown up life started

If I were to start university again, I'd work less and be more social instead.

I sometimes wonder what it'd be like if I had chosen to go into a Business major as opposed to an Engineering major (almost no girls)...

You can still take a short business course and with it and your Engineering major, you will be more valuable for many companies than any business student.

I wish I hadn't taken Business as my degree... especially not in Spain. I wish I had taken the gap year I wanted to take after college because I wasn't prepared at all for uni. I wish I had worked during that year.

So you regret not playing more and working more?

Join more societies (Entrepreneurship / Investing)

Network more with classmates

Start a business aimed at students

The thing that I wished I had taken my education way more seriously through effectively combating procrastination which I consider as a cancer when it comes to success.

Where do you find those chances to join such groups?

Engineering Major with Business Minor isnt just super helpful in the work places, but allows you to get in social circles while getting a worthwhile degree.

Note: not saying Business degrees arent worthwile, they just are not the best for people who drift towards engineering to begin with.
