It's certainly a regional thing. There's almost nobody who wears AF1s at my college. About 50% of the student body wears some type of sandal year round.

I'm not trying to dis you or anything, I'm hardly a fashion snob nor a snazzy dresser, I really just don't understand (and I'd like to).
I just guess it's always been a hobby/passion/obsession? I don't know....I never think about it. I've just always been interested in them from early on. As a kid I had all the Jordans and wish I never outgrew or trashed them. Nowadays I just buy whatever I decide to buy. Not much thinking involved...I mean how hard is it to throw on a white/black t shirt a pair of shorts and whatever pair you decide to put on that day. Sure I dress up.....but I don't spend 18 hours a day at a formal dinner where I need slacks and a pair of dress shoes. I'm 26 fwiw....one thing I do not like is a black shoe haha......just never liked them for some reason.

I don't post in these threads.....but some of you can't seem to fathom an outfit with Nike/Jordans so I'll help. Everyone's different.....I can't possibly see myself putting on these brown casual shoes I see people with on everyday.

idk how it's hard to understand. people view the jordan brand as expensive not ghetto. if you have some purple and w/e jordans with a purple shirt it shows you have money and care about your image (even if it's not true. same could be said for watches+cars, etc). it's assumed that they have a wide shoe collection to match whatever else they wear because he's not going to wear purple outfits everyday.

i've never bought a pair of jordans because i actually don't like many of the styles but others pull them off. then again i live in california so maybe everything is different in missouri or w/e

i'm pretty sure i'm going to transfer to an out of state school in the future. looking forward to meeting these sandal+DC shoe colleges. seems like bar isn't set very high to get good looking white girls

LOL at Jordans being expensive and LOL at wearing Jordans as a status symbol. If you like them thats cool but they are just shoes.

the pumas being linked are $40-60. jordans are $150+

if you're rocking a bunch of $800 gucci/louis then good for you

I prefer shoes that are easy to put on and take off. In fact, I can't stand shoes that take over 10 seconds to put on.

So I got home and threw on my brand new green SJ Sharks shirt pictured above (size: L) with the black hoodie I received from Old Navy a few days ago (size: LT) before going to a friend's apartment to drink with a small group of people. Two people asked me if I'd lost weight. I guess wearing better-fitting clothing is good?

How tall are you and how much do you weigh? You might be able to wear M (I know you are like 7ft tall).

I'm not really feeling the buckle but everything else looks good. Every guy should at least try boots/shoes that are a level above sneakers imo. I just bought a pair of these:

brogues by Loake

I like the brogues/denim combination. BROWN BROWN BROWN
These ones are nice.

I'm looking to buy a smart-ish type of shoe that isn't a dress show. Narrowed it down to these two and can't decide. Basically, I can't see me wearing the boat show tooooo often and the trainers, although being smarter than normal, are *still* trainers...

SuperFuture yes, StyleForum not so much. I tend to use StyleForum as a place to spend a lot of money and not much else

So that's 2-2.

First shoe to 5 takes it.

Yeah, the intention is to wear them with a pair of smart jeans.

I'd insta-wear dress shoes with suit trousers.

Moccasin's are the sickest if you can pull it off.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with overdressing IMO.

People that hate on others for looking decent are just pissed they suck at dressing.
