re: SL Style Thread

Had a $150 card to Aeropostale so went shoppin this morning. That store is actually pretty legit for most informal-ish stuff. No doubt Spurious will hate it lol =) Got some bummin' around stuff as well as some decent winter-time stuff.

1) Jacket - Already have 3 sport-coat type jackets (idk the difference between sport coat and blazer, sry) and a nice coat, so I wanted something more casual. Not planning on wearing it zipped often, if ever.

2) Hoodie - Got the gray one w/ blue "87" on it. Not a huge fan of the tattered look in general, but it's ridic comfortable and will still be fine for class/day-to-day.

3) Beanie - Got two of these

still not sure if I can pull off the cabbie hat (w/ the bill), but I guess we'll find out.

Thoughts?

No wonder they are confused -- all of the sportcoats/blazers that I have (not counting the ones with suits and whatnot, those are obv blazers) are somewhere between those two definitions.

also, if any of you euros still wear jackets with the fake buttons on the wrist.... looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool -- powder wigs might hit Europe in 50 years.

There is no in between. Blazers are pretty easy to spot. Not a lot of college students own one.

I dont know what the second part means. Which fake buttons are you refering to?

The ones on the wrist of some blazers. The only people I see wearing those are WWII vets.

Essentially, I think that all buttons that are simply there for show are retarded. It's socially acceptable with some coats though (as long as , but the buttons on the wrist are lol ugly, ESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSPECIALLLLLLLYYYYYY if they are different colors than the base of the jacket.

edit -- ok those aren't hideous, but still retarded in theory.

Vintage,

If it wasn't clear, I was mocking what you were saying. You have an extremely strange viewpoint and are making fun of virtually every suit/blazer/sport coat ever made all around the world.

The lol Eurotards (while being dear to my heart) is a pretty sick stroke of self-pwn.

re: SL Style Thread

How is it "extremely strange" to consider useless clothing accessories as.... useless?

I mean I wouldn't specifically NOT buy any jacked with those buttons, I just don't like them, and they are NOT popular in the States.

I just had to go through my closet and check if I owned one without those buttons, but no, I dont. Do they exist?

You said you own a mixture between sportcoats and blazers. I dont think you own any of those clothing items.

I own a suit, I bought in the states that obviously has those buttons. Every goddamn suit has those buttons.
