shorts and zip up hoodie perfect for spring
03-21-2011 , 12:25 AM
ya i'm still in a flip flop, shorts, and a hoodie. I do think that pushing the sleeves up on the hoodie makes a big diff though

i don't think i'd wear shorts and a hoody anywhere that i actually felt like looking good, but going to class/gym/store is definitely fine with either cargo shorts and sandals like vintage said or athletic shorts.

spurious will tell you otherwise, but they don't have hoodies in europe so his opinion doesn't count
I actually do wear a hoodie from time to time, but I never wear shorts. Mixing it seems kinda weird to me.

try it in the months between winter and spring and you'll be jelly of the comfy style

Haircut tips?

My hair is pretty thick and gets a bit curly if it gets long (which I'm not a fan of). I've had grade 2 back and sides and scissors on top for a while and then just styled with wax. Kind of feel like a change now though, are there any other decent options you're a fan of? If it makes much difference I'm 6'1 and athletic/runners build.

My stance on my haircut is that I don't really give a **** what it looks like as long as it's low-maintenance. I don't have to look at it all day, so I asked the people whose opinions I cared about for looking good (my female friends)

First time spurious and I agree?

Despite confirmation from a few posters Is till reckon hoodie and shorts looks weird. Like I cant imagine a weather where that is necessary, but a long sleeve shirt or jeans cant replace the hoodie/shorts

Currently here it's like ~75 during the day and ~50 at night. Going out at night where bars are going to be 75 degrees or so but having to still be outside a fair amount.

I wore a hoodie and shorts out last night, nobody said anything. I push up the sleeves if I'm wearing it with shorts though most of the time.

50 degrees drunk at night seems fine for long sleeve with jeans.

75 during day seems fine for long sleeve and shorts or short sleeve and shorts. Obviously im not spoiled by the heat like all the losers from the south...So i could probably stand cold better than you could.

I do hoodie+shorts a decent amount though I don't think I'd ever wear it when going out or anything...
03-21-2011 , 05:42 PM
I wear shorts with my puma jacket around sometimes.

Only negative about summer months is I can't wear flip flops because my feet are two different sizes. This also makes it impossible to wear boat shoe style shoes w/o socks. I need to develop a shoe exchange for others in the same boat as me.
03-21-2011 , 07:34 PM
How common is that? I dunno if I've ever heard of anyone having more than about 1/2 size diff between their feet.
03-22-2011 , 05:46 PM
I don't know how common it is or anything. Mine is due to being born with spinabifida....common symptom being a clubbed foot.

Go to store put one smaller shoe in bigger shoe box and vice versa IMO.
03-23-2011 , 03:00 AM
are your legs the same size too? and take the doctor's advice
03-23-2011 , 06:19 AM
glad to see the hoodie short thing wasn't a super obv either way, i was feeling dumb. fwiw i wear hoodie + shorts but that's because ( like someone else said) in Vegas its currently 70 during the day and 55 at night.
03-23-2011 , 10:34 AM
moflie - wow that's a really significant difference. glgl w/ that. Is there much day-to-day pain?

Also, are you allergic to latex? Sick excuse to not have to use a rubber (silver lining imo)

Fish- My right calf/leg is def. smaller as can be seen in the pic.

Dr- I'm not sure I've ever been anywhere that sells shoes where they don't check the box. On that note......Nike had a commercial about a shoe w/ an adjustable heel and it contained a guy with a smaller leg due to being in a cast....My mom wrote Nike for some handouts due to the emotional pain the commercial caused me but they didn't bite.

Vintage- No pain....I'm 27 now and I've played soccer my whole life up until a few years ago. No allergies either. Just a lucky dude that doesn't have the complications that a lot of kids have that are born with spinabifida.

You guys seen these yet?

http://spirithoods.com/mens/

They're called Spirit Hoods. I've seen a few around in magazines lately but Vanessa Hudgens was on Conan tonight talking about them. I think they look pretty baller and could be key if worn correctly. Are they too over the top?

I wouldn't pay $139 for them, but if I could find them for like $40-50 then sure. I'd want to get one sooner while they're cool before everyone has them and the appeal is gone, kind of like how argyle sweaters went from baller to ubiquitous in the past few years.

The website isnt loading, but if its anything google image search is leading me to believe..you got to be kidding me right?

The only person that could pool that **** off is Mac Miller, and that isnt really a compliment to him.
