Is this the style you're look for?

Try to find if there is a J.Crew store around you. They'll have a much wider selection than online (weird I know, but at the stores they keep stock much longer than they do online).
8 or 9 inch inseams? WTF? How short are your legs if 8 inch inseams go down to your kneecaps?

Oh and the shorts you linked are 11".

cool story bro.

How do you need shorts recs? They are like.. the easiest fashion thing to do right. Plain white ones with 2 simple pockets (+back ones) are a staple.. I'd say cargos are good too, but if you are asking for shorts advice maybe not because they are actually easy to do wrong and end up looking like some sort of abercrombie/hollister idiot. Those plaid ones are OK, but not as much in style as they were a few years back. I mean.. just go shopping with a girl, have her show you 1 pair of each style I just mentioned, and then when you figure out which ones you prefer, follow her pair like a template.

Oh and wtf were jorts really ever IN style!? Outside of black people who somehow pull them off??

Not really style necessarily, but I need a nice leather wallet. Looking to spend less than 100, preferably less than 50. Thanks.

loafer

Nike shoes are for high school students.

I think Superga makes the best summer shoe. They are a s Get the canvas ones to wear with shorts, the leather ones to wear with jeans.

Man, my style has changed a ton since I last posted ITT! Gone are the Common Projects, Margiela mids, raw denim and expensive button downs.
03-16-2011 , 01:39 PM
common projects are super overpriced
03-16-2011 , 01:55 PM
I think it depends on what you're looking for. They are super comfortable and extremely well made, and the shape of the Achilles low is one of my favorites. If I was still interested in leather sneakers Id buy another pair for sure.

Also I don't think Nike (especially NikeSB) is strictly for high schoolers nor do I find loafers to be stylish. I don't know how things are in Europe but in the US the look of loafers paired with fashion forward attire serves as a filter to identify those who are interested in fashion but lack the sense to buy real shoes.

Ok, Nike shoes are allowed for athletics, but most definitely not for going out.

Loafers are real shoes? Or do we have a different definition of loafers?

On second thought, I dont wear shorts, so I dont even know if loafers fit. Espandrillos are probably a better choice.

Meh, the more I think about it the less I care if people wear loafers to dinner or to a club. I personally would never wear sneakers, loafers or espadrilles for those occasions but that's just me. For a long time I had rigid standards for what is stylish and what isn't but today I tend to appreciate finding a style that's tailored (HAHAHAHAHAHAH PUN) to the individual. Sometimes I revert back to that cookie-cutter SF/SuFu mentality

loafers being worn by a guy under 30 = laughable in north america.

unless the guy is a douche bag on a yacht. then it's excusable.

I wouldnt wear espandrillos to a club either, but neither would I wear shorts to a club (and expect to get in).

What do you mean by tailored to the individual? Actually tailored or something that fits the person's general appearance?

I bet 1 gazillion dollars against it.
People who have this attitude are not worth hanging out with anyways.
Dressing like a normal human being, like a man and not like a basketball player or skater, should be considered standard once you can get into clubs.

bet against what? He didnt even say something thats possible to be bet against.....so i will counter your bet with 2 gazillion cause obv im more confident

I was refering to his claim that wearing loafers is laughable in the US and I bet it isnt, so I raise the stakes to 3 gazillion.

The latter. I think it's important to consider ones body type and personality when choosing clothes. For example I have the ideal body for Dior 19cms and Rick Owens or Julius tops but those pieces don't fit my personality at all.
