Wow, this thread went downhill fast...

Anyways, I'm looking to get a new jacket. Not necesarily for winter, but just to go out in and looks a bit smarter than my current one (which I now wear for everyday use). Looking for something similar to this:

http://www.superdry.com/mens/jackets...ed-brad-jacket

(but without the HUGE collar)

and just wanted to see if anyone knows any decent brands that have nice jackets around atm. I'm from the UK so... keep it to international brands pls.

Black Scissors makes designer knockoffs with substandard leather, but they are a decent value for the price.

I dislike the jacket, because it's overloaded with accessories, too many pockets especially.

I would imagine you cant just keep it on without the battery life being like <1hr, so basically you just have an ipod attached to your wrist that looks like a watch. I dont think its that sick, rather just have a watch there and an ipod in pocket.

What do you require of a "winter jacket"? What weather are we talking about? 55F and clear? 38F and raining? 22F and snowy?

Depending on which condition you live in there are a couple choices. North Face and Columbia come to mind when it comes to winter gear. They have soft shells or thin jackets for warmer winter weather/rainy but not cold weather. If it's 22F and snowy I doubt anything but a bulky winter jacket will help you stay warm (just put a hand warmer down your pants).

Also, if it's raining a lot (like it is here in seattle), I sometimes wear a jacket without a hood and use an umbrella (almost everyone uses one around here).

AS,

Almost impossible, but if you want non bulky cause you want to look fresh, than you obviously havent seen many nice winter coats, if you want non bulky for another reason you obv a tard.

If you are older than 20, you shouldnt buy a new NF or Columbia jacket unless you want to go skiiing.

Something to keep me warm in mostly 20-40 degree new york/philadelphia that doesn't look like I'm about to go snowboarding. Something like aao just posted etc

I've been wearing a coat very similar to this (but in a lighter color) as my winter jacket. Super warm.
