A decent suit for 1k should be hard. I would go to suit supply, seeing as chicago is one of their two US stores and they have. From all I have seen from them , they are probably the bet choice in the 400-600 price range, especailly if you can go into a store and get one of their tailors.

suit supply is virtually unbeatable at this price point. club monaco has some good stuff too.

Thoughts on these just for casual wear w/ chinos, t-shirts etc? Have a friend at Nike so I can get everything pretty cheaply online through the employee store

Anyone wear Rockports? Just got a pair and they are by far the best dress casual shoes I've owned as far as the pay off between look and comfort goes.

rockport is meh overall, depending on the style of shoe you are after there are better options in all styles for similar prices.

Rockport was really popular years back but I've never owned any nor have I heard them mentioned in at least 6-7 years. If I remember correctly they are under $100-150 which for dress shoes is pretty low and my guess involves rubber soles.
