Sorry to rain on your parade, but that shirt is crap. Men and women alike will laugh at you.
You dont seriously think those shirts create attraction in a positive way, do you?

Even if I work, I wear clothes that fit. I dont go to a store and say: "Oh today I need work clothes, I look in the overweight department."

Those are cheap excuses. If you want to look good and not like a fat loser, you wear clothes that fight tight.
Your definition of tight jeans is probably flawed, like many other people our age. Start reading some fashion magazines, websites, blogs, what not and you will start to like it.

If you got enough money, get custom-fit clothing. I will bet you all the money I got, that you will get complimented a lot by girls.

good points, hard to break out of the typical NYc urban area style of baggy jeans, sports jerseys, jordans, new era hats

Slim regular are better than Slim Skinny/Fit or whatever, looks a lot less hipster too....which is always a plus
10-19-2010 , 02:02 PM
Sigh.

i can't even get slim skinny over my calves, so that helps reduce my chances of coming off as a hipster. but i guess if i wear a shirt with a corny quote by brother ali on it that would do it as well.

Thremp and Spurious are correct in the above posts WRT jeans/tighter fitting clothing. The effect is also multiplied if everyone you're around is wearing ****ty baggy jeans and sideways hats with a straight brim.
10-19-2010 , 03:41 PM
I'm not even advising "tight" clothes or nuthuggingly tight **** I'll wear on occasion.

The jeans in the picture I posted are "anti-fit".

Denim is for hipsters.

WTF is a hipster?

Am I a hipster if I were a fitting jeans, fitting button down shirt and my belt matches my leather shoes?

If yes, then I'd rather be called a hipster by a bunch of losers than thinking it was a plus if I looked like I was overweight.

hm?
10-20-2010 , 07:28 PM
Nah.

Don't like shape, sole, heel. Actually I can't think of anything I really like.
10-20-2010 , 08:53 PM
gross.

to those wearing tight jeans: do you have to pick a side?
10-20-2010 , 08:59 PM
I wear holes in the crotch so my balls have an escape hatch.

Any advice on what kind of shoe I should buy for late fall/winter in New York? I tend to wear dress shoes and single colored loafers most of the time

not sure if its been asked or stated, but are there any good websites outside of acutall retailers that have various "in style" shirts and jeans for sale or to look at? I hate going to individual websites because i have no preference...if i see something i like, i get it

Thanks.

small peened hipsters itt

seriously though, the jeans i'm wearing right now would be considered 'fitted' by your standards and its like right at the border of being forced to one side or the other. when i stand up it is because the jeans have ridden up a bit.

a giirl told me tonight i "obviously have good style" even though i felt like i was bumming it up. sooo, respect my authoritaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

wrane,

if i saw someone wearing those shoes, i'd assume they were a pretentious douchebag hipster or a whiny bitch hipster. either way, i don't think they're what you wanna get.

also, when i think of a stereotypical hipster, i'm thinking not stylish. the whole point is to against the mainstream and purposely look like a jackass. how ironic that i should have wear a shirt and button the wrong buttons. how ironic that i should wear clothes that are for the wrong gender. how ironic that i should wear clothes that were cool 25 years ago.

the only thing that some of them get right is wearing better fitting clothes, but lots of ppl do it better that aren't **** hipsters.

i'm in the market for a scarf, something i can wear with a button up shirt or sweater. i already have scarves for colder weather with a coat. any suggestions? is it possible to wear a scarf with a just a long sleeved button up and not look gay? i feel like i've seen some people pull it off but google images doesn't show any good examples
10-22-2010 , 10:56 PM
