I have issues with using retail stores then buying online but there is a huge OOT topic addressing what is wrong with that so not going to get into here.

On a more self-interest argument I'd be concerned with fakes for more expensive items. I suspect that there is no real savings to be had from buying on a reputable retailer's website or the designer's own website so the deals are with online discount sites. I'd be reluctant to buy stuff from sites like that. Outlet stores sell lower quality versions of products, lower quality of products are sometimes available for different markets, and then there are just plain knock-offs. I'm happy to pay a premium to deal with a trusted retailer.

Been on a search for a grey/charcoal winter coat and am having no luck. I want it to be wool, above the knees and fairly simple. I like both of the coats below a lot but neither have slant pockets for your hands (am I the only person in the world who wants to keep their hands warm while wearing a coat?). Anyone have similar suggestions? Preferably under $7-800.

Could probably find some gloves?

Not sure if you're trolling or being serious but it gets pretty cold where I am and gloves + pockets is obviously warmer than just gloves. Even if it's not that cold I usually have my hands in my pockets just for comfort. I used to have a coat with no slant pockets and it drove me crazy.

why not just get sperries, and not some weird boat shoe sneaker hybrid.
10-17-2012 , 08:36 PM
You dislike them why?

And what is a comparable Sperri?
10-17-2012 , 08:38 PM
IMHO these are not better, AINEC.

what are we talking about!

My shoes I just got yesterday, I'm wearing them to school right now. I cut the green tag off both shoes btw.

I feel like at any moment a hot chick is going to compliment me on them.

Invisibility cloak shoes?

I have lots of shirts and I believe that 90% of them don't truly me (usually too wide at bottom and often at the chest). Would you recommend getting them tailored? I believe if I get a lot of them done at once I can get the price down to like $10/shirt. Has anybody experience with that?
10-23-2012 , 05:26 PM
How nice are the shirts? If they are not good shirts in the first place you are wasting time and money.

You should try it sometime. This is what I do and it works fine.

Advice on brands of shirts that tend to fit guys with thicker torsos and chests?

I'm not fat by any means just thickly built with a tank butt. So much these days is slim fitting which doesn't fit me. It kinda limits my style to tshirts/polos.

That sounds like way too much work when I can walk a few blocks and be at a store. Not to mention that is a considerable amount of money to charge and then have returned.

Some brands have different lines of the same stuff (slim/non slim). Just go to a store and try stuff on.
