Yeah MASSIVE !! You could partially make up for it by wearing Jordans, but not entirely.

The major problem I have with this whole thing is that hoodies dont have a major difference in comfortability as they are rarely toughing your skin(usually only arms). So you are paying an excess 100$ so your arms feel better? But even to that point I dont even think the hoodies I won feel bad on the arms, I actually think thye feel great, granite i have never worn your hoodie, the difference from 50->160$ is so great that I wouldnt even find it worth it if the insides of the hoodie was made from clouds.

Like i said earlier, there are excuses for spending money on luxury things and reason, and I cant see anything past yours being an excuse. But I really dont care if you spend 160$ on your hoodie, if you feel fine with it.

CB, the hoodie hate wasn't necessarily directed at you though it probably seemed so. You paid a lot for a hoodie but your attitude was fine. I was more annoyed with the people that were suggesting that someone that doesn't want a hoodie for $180 are cheap.

In any case, on cold days I like to wear cable knit sweaters. I feel like they go with anything - not so stylish that you're overdressed, but nicer and more mature than a simple hoodie. And warmer than a button up dress shirt.

Here's one that I have:

Spoiler:

Opinions?

I dig. Where'd you get it from and do they have it in navy?

A good investment if you live where the temperture dips below 0 is to get a good quality jacket.

Didnt read thread...but I think style in general depends a ton on where you go to school and what crowd you hang out with.

I go to school in socal and at house parties every dude wears a v-neck or tank top, cargo shorts or jeans, and flip flops, vans, or sailing shoes. You'd get laughed at wearing a button down or a suit. But if you go downtown, suit or button down with slacks and dress shoes is standard.

if you're hanging out with jocks or fratboys obv dress is going to be different than when you hang out with hipsters and film majors. I think main thing is to create a persona and be consistent, and wear nice clothes all the time, even if you don't have that many. A nice plain black v-neck with a pair of $100 jeans and clean shoes 3x a week is a million times better than wearing a different old navy shirt every day with a different pair of basketball shorts and a hoodie...you guys get the picture.

09-08-2010 , 02:30 PM
Bought these @ the Banana Republic in Soho this summer. About $100. I like em a lot.

i have: 3 pairs of aviators (2 black lenses, 1 brown), the kanye shutter ones but sunglasses instead of nothing behind the shutters, and a pair of tan wayfarers

can this be a style thread in general and not just clothes? what are your guys opinions on putting LED lights behind your tv. my tv isn't mounted on the wall but it's pushed up right against it.

it's a samsung flat screen but not like super skinny flat if that makes a difference

do these lights serve a purpose?
