Thanks, I just read through some of that thread. Fun read, lots of pics of sick watches. I'll have to ask pvn for some suggestions.

Also in japanese watches Orient is of similar quality to price ratio as Seiko and you can get there **** 50% off

http://orientwatchusa.com/mens

I am sure GJG will frown upon this tho

I got this one for 180:
http://orientwatchusa.com/mens/modern-watches/fet0h002b

This one is similar to the one you linked(but this is a diver) and when half off is around 107

http://orientwatchusa.com/mens/diver-watches/cem65001y

The reviews speak for themselves. (87 reviews on the black one with 5 star rating)

Some more similar non-diver style watches in executive:

where do you guys buy trendy, nice fitting tee shirts. (that arent just plain) Its pretty much impossible to find good fitting tee shirts in the mall so some site suggestions would be nice and if possible maybe some specific stores to shop in would be nice

ed hardy and christian audigier ldo

Is cologne supposed to somehow interact with you natural body scent or other personal characteristics or is there some generally good all-round cologne?

It interacts with you.

Also it changes over time so older stuff will smell different -- basically it expires.
12-28-2011 , 03:17 PM
Different Colognes last longer on different people.
12-28-2011 , 03:59 PM
So would there be people that can recommend me cologne based on personal characteristics (in the same way as they select clothes for you in good stores)? Or am I supposed to buy a few different ones and then decide myself based on social feedback?
12-28-2011 , 04:13 PM
Go to a place like macys and you can get small free samples, than try them and go out and see which one is best received. Or which one you like best

Do you want to look good or look "trendy"? Ed Hardy and Affliction. Buy some True Religion jeans (or any denim with skulls and crosses!) and square toed Cole Haan loafers to complete the trendy look. Get some sunglasses which have the logo of a known fashion designer on the side, preferably a European inspired frame. Ask for a large bag from said designed sunglass retailer and put all your new trendy clothes in the bag so while you're walking out of the mall onlookers will know that you're staying up on the latest trends and will spend the coin necessary to do so.

Everyone gives off a unique scent. I think fragrances like Polo Blue, D&G Light Blue, etc. tend to fit most guys, or at least most guys don't smell awful while wearing them (though they are tired/boring scents iyam)

IMO the best way to shop for cologne is research sites like BaseNotes, StyleForum, etc. for ideas, then buy small decants from a site like ThePerfumedCourt. The decants are only like $5/each and applied correctly the decants will last a few days each. From there you should buy a fragrance based on how it smells to you while considering the opinions of others. You don't need to get carried away with smelling how you look/dress but if you're some burly dude you probably don't want to smell like Issey Miyake or some other scent that could be considered gender neutral, so think about that when making a purchase.

+1

Any large department store will have these little test tube things that you can take home and you get a half dozen or more wears out of it. Much better than trying it in the store.

This is a guy only thing. No testers for women.

i guess when i said trendy, i meant some nice graphic tees. What kind of nice tee shirts do you guys wear to a bar or during the summer or whatever?
12-28-2011 , 04:46 PM
Graphic T-shirts are 2007.
12-28-2011 , 05:00 PM
If I were going out to a bar in the summer I'd be more concerned with finding a shirt that fit properly and had the appropriate color than a graphic. Most graphic tees are gaudy and are aesthetically unpleasing because they aren't a reflection of the interests/personality of the person wearing them; people wear them because everyone else wears them.

I think Design By Humans makes some decent stuff, but buy whatever you want/like.
12-28-2011 , 07:29 PM
what cborders said. if you still want graphic tees get something from here http://www.twloha.zambooie.com/

It's for good cause and the fabrics, cuts & quality are superb for the price.

You guys think this store is legit?

http://montrealentrepot.com/about_us

They sell at pretty low prices I was told ($29 Azzaro 100 ml instead of $100 or something)
