Any other site reccomendations? I like express button ups but these shirts are usually made for the smaller guy as well
Made to measure is you best bet. That will obviously have to be local so only someone who lives where you live can help.

No hats. If you are Justin Timberlake you can wear hats but otherwise no hats.

If it helps alittle better, the occasion for these shoes would be a nice dinner or the bar scene in philly.
For my move into wearing jeans I went with a pair of suede Tod's from their sports collection. These were my first suede shoes and while I like them a lot they are also a **** load of work to maintain. This might not have been as bad if I got a darker colour but I got a tan so I find myself having to clean them often.

What do you use/do to clean leather shoes? Do I just take some damp cloth and wash with that?

Is suede any different?

You use a suede brush and this thing that kind of looks like a white eraser. You also have to spray them.

What I was supervised with is how easy they get dirty. Just wearing them once with blue jeans leads to needing to remove the blue dye transfer from where the jeans come in contact with the shoe. Likewise, driving gets the back all black. They are really only wearable if I am not driving.

there's a big diff between good suede and cheap suede. most people think you can't possibly clean suede or get suede wet. if it's good suede, you certainly can. i'd actually rather get good suede wet than leather.

Marseille soap. Rub it to a cloth, and wash. Then I've been using some repairing cream with colour in it, and spray.

Hmm, I think the ones in black and some of the darker brown ones look okay. I think I'm looking for something a little more dressy but it's hard for me to judge from pictures. Thanks.

I don't wear boots so my opinion should be discounted for that but of the boots posted so far I like these best.

What do you wear in lieu of them? I'm guessing you aren't walking through snow too often. I don't wear boots either and definitely don't like how they look. The above boots are nice, but they are basically just a high-top oxford.

I don't like how boots look either but my issue is that I will inevitably step in slush and get my socks wet, so for me they are a necessity.

Why are you in love with black so much?

Brown is way superior!

I recently bought 2 pairs of new shoes - one black, one brown, and I use the black ones much more. Most of my pants are black and even when I wear grey, the black shoes look better. I only want one pair of boots so black seems to be the best choice. Although I am starting to reconsider wearing black pants in the winter because I think salt will show more on them.

I wear dress shoes year round. I don't find snow is that big of a deal. I have indoor parking so no driveway to deal with and as far as the public streets they clean the sidewalks. The bigger issue is salt but that will be just as bad on leather boots as shoes. I keep older shoes for winter and long distance driving so I put those into rotation on most days but with respect to snow itself it is easy enough to avoid if you just look where you are walking.

Not sure and while I do own brown shoes but black to brown ratio is easily 6 to 1. I'd say it is because brown was not as popular when I started dressing properly and like most people you stick with what you are use to.

For similar reasons I also don't share the hate most people have for the square-toe shoe -- I would never buy them now but in the 90s for a few years they were actually the trendy hot shoe and well made. I suspect this will be the case again in about five years.

just bought a pair of crockett and jones suede wingtips with a dainite (high-end rubber) sole. feel like a bit of a prole but i intend for these to be my go-to shoes for bars and whatnot, so they should be durable.

I need some new pairs of pants, and a few years ago when I started wearing dress pants I found one really good brand for my build, and all besides one of the pairs I bought was that brand, but now that I moved to the US I can't get it here anymore (not going to ship it in from Europe obv).
So now I'm basically looking for good brands for dress pants. I was looking at macy's, and I bought a few sweaters from Alfani there not too long ago that I like a lot (even though not as well received by the thread) and I kind of like pants like these quite a bit.
That's also roughly the pricerange I'm looking at (non-sale, so 100-150$ or so). Any good recommendations? Doesn't need to be macy's of course, I just wanna get some pointers.
