This is my view as well. Obv the more expensive the better, but if it still looks decent nothing wrong with rocking one.

diamonds dont hurt either

Men wear watches, but mean wear nice watches. If you can't find a nice watch, you're better of not wearing any.

K-Mart is still in business?

I think I remember K-Mart filing for bankruptcy and closing lots of stores while I was in high school. I'd like to think everyone knows Wal-mart is still around.

That is correct. K-Mart filed for bankruptcy and at least in Canada what was left of the retailer was bought by HBC and converted to Zellers. Zellers has since been purchased by Target.

I am still surprised walmart is in business, how often do people actually need to buy walls?

lol'd way more than I should

Any suggestions for everyday shoes? I'm looking for something a bit nicer to wear, on the same level of dressy-ness (?) as Clark's DB (which I just got and like very much) but doesn't have to be necessarily a boot.

I'd want something black I could alternate with my desert boots..so I don't end up wearing the same shoes everyday.

Edit: And I'm poor so, nothing too expensive

also on the subject of shoes, what sort of shoes should be worn with chinos? what about these ones that I have:http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/product-is-20344153 ?

Those look weird. Just get some real boat shoes. I don't know why people like Clarks; they are ugly.

I wear these >90% of the time that I wear jeans and they're REALLY comfortable.

Yeah he's trolling..
12-11-2011 , 01:57 PM
No, I would believe it if vintage wore those. He's from Georgia and from what I can tell from his few posts itt is that he dresses like the typical college student.
12-11-2011 , 02:32 PM
those are truly dreadful
12-11-2011 , 06:21 PM
Vintage definitely not trolling.

Funniest moment ITT is Vintage arguing with Thremp about the "fake buttons" on the sleeves of blazers/suit jackets etc being useless.
12-11-2011 , 07:25 PM
def not trolling, i'm wearing them right now

fwiw the buckle is never visible when i wear them with jeans. I think they look pretty decent for casual/comfortable.

But I also think most of the shoes itt are ugly so maybe my perception is ****ed up but idc they're comfortable as ****.

i disagree obv. they do look quite different irl. anyway, shoes for chinos anyone?
12-12-2011 , 04:21 PM
Those are actually pretty popular around the better dressing crowd at my school surprisingly. They're obviously strictly casual wear though and I'd never buy a pair

They ARE useless lol... just like the bottom button of most suit coats obv
12-12-2011 , 06:05 PM
Well, they are useless, as in, you don't use them for anything. But by that anything from colour to stitching details to cut is also useless.
12-12-2011 , 06:21 PM
There's definitely a spectrum though. I mean of the "useless" things (by your definition), color/cut would probably be the most important to me. After that, 1,000,000,000 other things. And then.... sleeve buttons.

also -- those birkenstock clogs look ****in good. I'm pretty sure the haters think that it's going to look something like this
