In on this. Looking forward to cooler weather so I can wear more long sleeve shirts and button downs.

Yup. Can't wait for it to get cold enough to wear a peacoat and some chunky sweaters.

I bummed around today in an H&M v-neck, Acne Max raw denim and a pair of Superga's - not photo worthy.

Sizing varies from brand to brand, obviously. J. Crew's LT size fits me great.
XL shirts and L shirts aren't hugely different in length, more so in width. a regular large would fit you much much better.

Can't really go wrong with Ralph Lauren...sleeves rolled, untucked, top 2/3 button un-bottoned plz tho

edit...buy way bigger than you think you need because they do shrink

re: SL Style Thread

Size charts for diff online retailers seem to have the same theme of 1 jump in size = 2 in wider, 1 in longer, with tall sizes typically being 2 inches longer than their regularly-sized counterparts.

And I have several L-sized shirts which are too small on me. The lack of consistency doesn't make it easy to shop for things. :/

goofy, you said you were 6'1" right? i can't fathom a large being too short for you because i'm a few inches taller and probably a few pounds heavier and 90% of the time i don't even try it on before buying unless its from an unfamiliar store

6'3". Maybe more of your height is in your legs? I typically wear ~34" pants.
