Okay, my mistake for missing that part.

Are you going to address the obvious problems that come with propping up "champion of the best conference" when we know that this would just be another situation like K State about five years ago beating Oklahoma out of nowhere in the Big 12 title game? Sure it improved the win prestige of those teams who beat K State earlier in the year, but not to an "OMG best win of the year" level.

Yes, I conceded a mistake there in a stand-alone that started my next post. It doesn't require devoting multiple posts to get me to do that. Don't project your level of argumentational honesty onto me; when a problem with what I've said has been pointed out, I do the big boy thing and just say so.

its not being the "champion of the best conference" in itself that makes it the best win, but that would be a fair way to describe this years uga team if they win out. we arent talking about an extreme example like a 4-way tie at 4-4 in the sec east with the winner finishing 6-6 before luckboxing a win, in which case the value would obviously be minimal.

No, but we're talking about a somewhat extreme example where the SEC East is inordinately weak this year. Weaker than we're ever used to seeing. The SEC is almost never this imbalanced. That is what is leading to these circumstances.

I was about to say the same. Would be pretty surprising if they beat both Auburn and Tech, would be mind-blowing if they somehow beat both teams and LSU also.

keep in mind Im talking from a media perspective which has done nothing but suck off the sec for 5 years. it would be hard to rationalize keeping out the team which killed the winner of said conference after all the other hype they have put in to the sec (not that it hasnt been for good reason).

It's not as though the media is wrong about the SEC. The hype is annoying, especially when it leads to this nonsense of hated rivals cheering for each other, but is generally on point with regards to the conference's strength.

we havent beat uga at home in a really long time, but if paul johnson can get the guys to bring it like they did against clemson I like the chances.

I dont buy into that game being meaningful though, probably because Im not from georgia, dont live there, and dont know anyone who goes there except for a handful of friends and a few guys on the internet. Id much rather have wins over clemson and VT every year than uga.

one thing i'll say is that i hope boise at least gets to play an AQ team (assuming they win out) . boise vs houston would be pretty wack.

Boise vs. Houston would be awful. Similar to when Kansas played absolutely nobody and then had an Orange Bowl against a Virginia Tech squad who played nobody. If we're stuck with Boise in a BCS game then please at least let's make it a game where we get to find out where they measure up.
