I always lol at this attitude torwards Fantasy football. I can hardly watch any sporting event in its entirety and really didnt lose sleep if the broncos lose or if tebow dropped ortens jock at practice. But FF makes things so much better, I actually care about the whole league and what offensive my star running backs team has.

yes, obviously i wasn't exaggerating to make a point. there's definitely a better chance of the planets colliding than boise st. beating georgia.

i'm happy with how my team turned out.

PPR:

stafford
rice
forte
felix jones
v jackson
manningham
daniels

amendola, collie, pettigrew, burleson, orton, sims-walker

This. Obviously Im going to care more about carolina winning than my fantasy team, but fantasy makes every game relevant and worth watching. Its great for football.

for ****s and giggles then, what do you actually think the chances of uga going undefeated playing boise sts schedule would be this year? just ignore the game against each other

This is normal league:

ben roethlisberger
arian foster
steven jackson
austin collie
brandon marshall
hakeem nicks
jimmy graham
gotskowski
packers D

bench: josh freeman, james starks, mike tolbert, danny amendola, lance moore, steve smith

next league I think is like a ppr/bonus league mixed, some weird rules, you get extra points for like 100+ rushing yards or receiving yards and bonuses for long catches etc.

peyton manning
javid best
rashard mendenhall
calvin johnson
mike wallace
tony gonzalez
marques colston
matt bryant
cowboys D

bench: ben roethlisberger, daniel thomas, austin collie, LT, plaxico burress, AJ green

It's great for football when fans are huddled around a TV caring about which player scores rather than which team scores?

Okay.

it definitely is

I see.

it makes games that otherwise wouldnt matter become so much more important. Like lets say the Jags and Texans both sucking and playing each other in week 14. They may have a couple relavant fantasy players so people will be more inclinded to care about that outcome and injury reports of that game especially in week 14 when the fantasy playoffs start.

fwiw I usually get a pretty good chuckle out of SE. Those guys are funny imo.

And what a farce fantasy playoffs are. The championship is determined when the best teams start resting their best players.

Going to the Notre Dame-USF game today, fairly excited.

I'm surprised at how little of a Notre Dame presence there is down here in southern Indiana. Especially with the Hoosiers being a perpetual 4-5 win team, I thought the Irish would be adopted by a lot more people. It hardly seems to have a following at all.

Ol' Crimson up and waving at Gameday as always. Such a welcome sight on Saturday morning. I'm so glad college football is back.

You do realize this would be akin to going to Tuscaloosa and expecting people to root for Auburn or Gainesville and expect many Miami fans, right?

Except that in your scenarios there are solid programs in those locations. People largely ignore Hoosier football here, so I just kind of expected there to be some fans bleeding in from surrounding big fanbases like there is with MLB here.

This isn't ISU, and you are in Hoosier country. Do you really expect people not to be passionate about their Hoosiers despite having a less than stellar program? South Bend also isn't even close to Bloomington.

MLB isn't even comparable. There is no state team for Indiana. You are going to get Cincy fans, prob some Cleveland fans, Cubs fans, White Sox fans, and Cardinals fans.
