Hey everyone,

Just so everyone knows, employers can help pay employees tax-free up to $5200 per year for education expenses. As of January 2013 this has lapsed and these benefits are being taxed at the normal rate. This is a direct tax on the lower and middle class and just makes going to school that much more expensive. I posted about this in the politics forum but I'm asking other students to please create an account to help this petition reach 150 signatures and go public. Even if you are not currently being reimbursed for graduate school by an employer, you might be in a few years or likely know someone who is.

Thanks a lot in advance. And if anyone else has any petitions they want help getting to 150 on please post it here and I'd be happy to sign as long as I don't disagree with the message.

Maybe you should take a class in learning how to google? Section 127 was made permanent as part of the Fiscal Cliff deal

The liberalized child and dependent care credit rules (allowing the credit to be calculated based on up to $3,000 of expenses for one dependent or up to $6,000 for more than one) (Sec. 21);
The exclusion for National Health Services Corps and Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarships (Sec. 117(c)(2));
