Re: Should I get out of accounting?

Mine's 2007. I think it's fine to use it as the jump from 03-07 is much larger than 07-10.

Grunch:

I took Intermediate 1 this summer. Granted, it was summer, and I treated it as such, but the class took all interest I had in the subject and lit it afire. I'm thinking of switching to supply-chain.

Re: Should I get out of accounting?

Applied for a bunch of internships. The interviews are in September and October for this coming spring. I'm taking 24 credits this fall and I'm wondering if this will affect my chances at getting an internship. I will not go below 21, I understand this will be difficult blah blah blah.

Are teachers pretty forgiving for missing a class to due an interview? Any other issues that I could run into with these two objectives?

Why are you taking 24?

Re: Should I get out of accounting?

1. Anything after 13 credits is free in the University of Minn. system.

2. Challenge myself.

3. I hopefully will be interning this spring and for classes and all the jazz to work out properly for summer and next fall I need to make sure I get these classes done.

4. The classes I'm doing are the generic business core. Human Resource MGMT, Production & Operations, etc. I feel this is an opportune time.

Re: Should I get out of accounting?

What is everyone doing to separate themselves from competition when job searching... I am an accounting grad student and just got an "alternate" spot for an E&Y interview with a 3.77 gpa. I'd like to do some things to make me a more attractive job candidate, I played poker for the past 6 years so I need it.

I'd get involved with any clubs and activities on campus that are related to accounting. Also, anything that shows "leadership" is great.
