This was brought up in the article and seemed so weird to me. He basically said that you're playing against other people, and that once you win you have no way of assuring yourself that THEY will pay you. It's pretty clear that he has no concept of how online poker (or gambling) works. At all.

don't forget about muddywater!!! people clown on wiggins but he's up easily 500k net playing poker. there's probably 4-5 CR members that are from UI as well, all of them are winning SSNL or MSNL guys. add bkice, too. oh and barry greenstein too.

i think you'd be hard pressed to find another school with more poker talent than UI.

A ton more successful dudes there, too. Babooyah (won the 1k on ft, 3rd in 750k, tons of small cashes), govshark2 (2nd in the 750k, tons smaller ones), and a ton that have graduated (Toilet, bkice, etc).

Plus Indiana is a safety school.

Hey, I won the 40k on Stars a few weeks ago...that should put UI over the top for sure...

I mean, Barry Greenstein and Taylor Caby among others are one thing, but if you have guys who can win those small-mid stakes online tournaments...that's what really counts. It's like college sports - conferences aren't defined by the teams at the top, it's the guys in the middle and near the bottom that make the difference.
