Quote:
Autodidacticism or self-education is the act of learning about a subject or subjects in which one has had little to no formal education.
I'm interested in S.T.E.M. subjects, economics, and organizational psychology. I don't have much skills or knowledge though, and am not currently in school.

I was thinking of buying a bunch of books from Amazon and going to town. I'm afraid of venturing into a field that A) I lack a proficiency in; 2) The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

What studies and methods are you guys using to enrich yourselves without formal education? What's your dream?

I've mostly just been trying to read books, watch videos/docs and absorb as much content as well as playing with and breaking things.

Talking to people who are versed in an area helps tremendously.

Look for relevant open courses. It's a new trend.

Its good to read different books that interests you most. It is like self studying what you have not encountered yet.

Audible.com has a ton of world-class lectures by world-class professors. I listen to history lectures on there all the time. They have all kinds of topics.
