Also if we're gonna be nitting it up, "so as to" is kinda wordy (just say "to") and I don't think consolidate is the right word there. "reinforce" is probably better

I'm pretty happy with using "consolidate" as in to make solid or firm; solidify; strengthen: to consolidate gains. And in "so as to" is the same as "in order to" which works better than simply "to". And that's my last word on that.

Wrote a response then accidentally deleted it. I'm not sure anymore...seems like you consolidate a power more than a position (you wouldn't consolidate your position as the leader, you consolidate your power as the leader, right?)

Most grammar nits don't like in order to, but I guess It's clearer than just to at the beginning of sentences.

dont know the whole story, but im assuming this was a bar you frequent and you know some other people there. I'm not going to pretend like im the most social person, but it seems like it'd get pretty boring talking to the same girl all night, even if she is cool/attractive. At there very least I'd probably make my rounds and say hi to the people i know. Just say you need a new drink and take your time getting back to the group.

Sounds like a sweet night...However when she declines your invitation to yours and clearly knows your intentions there's hardly any point in pursuing things further...esp if you wanna hangout etc next week/in the future..

Other posters have mostly covered the good advice, but lol @ your friends chasing the guy out of the bar and trying to fight him. He's a loser just let him leave. And if your friends were trying to jump him he's obviously gonna run no matter how tall he is

Got home from the gym last night and was pretty tired. Me and my friend who I went with went back to our places to take showers and we were gonna meet at this bar in my town to watch the 2nd half of the Knicks game. He's notoriously slow at doing everything so I got done early and went there myself to watch the game. It was still pretty early so not many people there, some middle aged people and a couple kids I went to high school with so I grab a beer and talk to them for a little before I sit at the bar.

I text my friend asking where he is and he texts me saying his sister's car battery died like an hour away and he's gotta go drive out there to get her. So I'm like whatever **** it I'll have another drink and finish watching the game then leave and go somewhere else. With 1 min left in the game I get tapped on the shoulder by some girl who asks me what I'm drinking. Pretty cute face, really tan/dark skin (found out later she was Chilean). I tell her it's Blue Point which is a really good Long Island beer and asks her if she wants to try it, she does and likes it so I wave over the bartender and get her one.

We start talking about random **** and she's from a couple towns over here with some of her friends. There's no seats next to me at the bar so I ask her if she wants to sit at the tables on the other side. We go over and she sits next to me on the booth sides. Surprisingly she was pretty fun to talk to, she had just got done studying abroad in Europe and traveled there a bunch which I've always wanted to do. Eventually I start teasing her and she's touching me playfully, being very receptive etc. After while she mentions it's really hot in the bar, I tell her I have a key to a private beach nearby that has a swingset in the sand and ask her if she wants to go. She agrees and gets up to tell her friends so I go to the bathroom and by the time I'm back she's ready to go.

It's like a 10 minute drive and the beach is really secluded which is a plus. I'm not supposed to have a key because I don't live in the private area but this girl I used to see did and so I made a copy and kept it. I unlock the gate drive in and we start going on the swings. She tells me this is so random/fun and she never does stuff like this or really talks to new people at all. I ask her why she decided to talk to me and she said "because you're really attractive". She then told me she really liked my hair and asked how I style it like that, so I told her she could play with it. Our faces were touching and we start making out.

It's pretty cold so we go back in my car and turn heat/music on, and continue making out. She stops and says that this is crazy, you're a complete stranger, I never do this. I'm laughing inside but I tell her I'm just having fun and I know she is too so what's the problem? After 5-10 more mins of this she says she has to go to the bathroom so I tell her I live 5 mins away and off to my place we go.

One of my couches is like a futon that lays totally flat when down so we hop on that basically right away. I'm kissing her neck and shes already breathing heavily. She's wearing leggings with no panties so I start fingering her and eventually take her pants off give it a once over and go down on her too because **** it. She starts screaming and squirming like crazy. After like 15 mins of this and her coming multiple times she says stop she can't take it anymore and rips my pants off and starts blowing me like she's possessed by a demon. It's crazy good so I don't tell her to stop and I finish eventually and she collapses on the couch. After minutes of silence she asks where I learned to do that and I tell her I taught myself. She then mutters "you killed me, you killed me, you killed me so many times" over and over again. We were lying down next to each other and she was just staring at me like a puppy dog or something. By now it's like 330 am and she had some school thing at like 9 am so I tell her I should prob take her back to her car so we get dressed.

On the way back we exchange numbers, I'll probably hang out with her again but she already texted me this morning and is replying in 1 minute to my 20-30 minute responses so hopefully this doesn't end up badly.

yeah i mean, my friends would come by and talk to me and her friend. it wasnt like we were in a corner by ourselves. obv i agree i should have at least said hi to the girl im crushin on

so we're now fbook friends. weirdly, she friended my friend who her friend went up to to talk to in the beginning of the night, but not me. reasons for this could be:
1. she knows he has a gf so it doesnt matter if she friends him because she isnt trying to play any games with him
2. she likes him but not me,
3. she forgot my name (possible because i only said it once when we met and i tend to mumble).

i friended her today though (im sure people are gonna hate on me for that). anyway, her fbook status from the afternoon after was:

"law school bar fight 2012: that **** cray"

and her friend commented:

"That was nuts! Guy was such a twit. Hats off to those boys who defended me and ___"

so maybe causing a scene wasnt such a bad thing
