No, all harmless means is that the change in behavior (quitting fapping) has no negative consequences for oneself or others. For example if our challenge was a harmFUL activity like smoking two packs of cigarettes a day, or harassing at least one homeless person a day, you would then have a legitimate argument against it. Buy a dictionary ffs.

I'm not really bent out of shape. Do what you want. It just annoys me when disillusioned people attribute changes (+ or -) to something that doesn't deserve the credit or blame.

I agree those people are annoying. Even more annoying are ignorant people who assume they know everything because they took an introductory college course on a tangentially related topic.

wrt the psych question "what does intro have to do with anything," you'd learn about the placebo effect. Changing ANY aspect of your life, if you believe it to be positive, will give you perceived more energy, possibly elevated mood, maybe more confidence. It's all smoke and mirrors though and it is only short term.

So then we brave no fappers are providing a great contribution to the scientific community. If, as you claim, all benefits of no fapping are due to the placebo effect they should disappear in the long term. Therefore if we continue to benefit from no fapping indefinitely it would mean there's actually something to it and you'd probably look pretty foolish.

btw congrats on making 2 weeks, even though it is indicative of absolutely nothing.

It indicates that I was able to go two weeks without fapping and I'm pretty proud of that
