Going to MSU in the fall, and as a "punishment" I have to take a class at the local community college that will transfer over to MSU. I'm going in as undecided/gen ed, what class would be semi-interesting and fit those qualifications?

Mariner fans are currently booing the intentional walk of Carlos Peguero. If you haven't heard of him, that's because he's terrible. It's ridiculous of the Marlins to walk him, and it's even more ridiculous of Mariner fans to react to such a move with anything less than a standing ovation. I'm ashamed.

Why would I be ashamed of the city of Vancouver? I doubt I've set foot in that city five times in my life. I have no association to that place.

I've been to one Canuck game in my life. It was last month. Never went to one in Vancouver.

Why would I possibly be ashamed of the riots? I generally reserve my shame for things that have something to do with me. I'm also not ashamed of the looting that went on in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. I disapprove of it, but being ashamed would be ****ing weird of me.

LOL, you live in Seattle and never been to one Canuck game in Vancouver and call yourself a fan? I call that inexcusable. Not only have you been to the city 5 times, but you live pretty damn close to it and have no excuse for not getting to a game there.

For as big of a Canuck fan as you seemed to be, you pretty much seem more like bandwagon fan and probably don't give a **** unless they are doing well.

I also assume you have no ties to New Orleans, so obviously you shouldn't care. And now it's clear you don't have any ties to Vancouver really, either. It's also much different looting when you possibly lost all your possessions than looting just because your sports team lost.

I've been to 5-6 in my life, only 1 of which was in the last 7 years (this year). I live forty five minutes from Chicago. Despite these facts, I'd consider myself a pretty goddamn big Bulls fan, starting before this season. I think you're being a bit pedantic.

Although being 18 and with an uninterested family, opportunities are scarce and I do plan on living in downtown Chicago and getting season tickets after college so long as it's even remotely financially viable.

lol, never going to a game when you live 2.5 hours from a city doesn't mean you can't be a fan. I'm a pretty big Sharks fan and I make it to just a few games per year and I live just 1 hour away (1.5 hours from where I work on weekdays). Driving that far for a 3 hour event is a big ****ing deal.

Crossing the Canadian border is a big pain in the ass, and Canucks games are basically always sold out with scalper prices being absolutely insane. Say what you will about Vancouver, but they are rabid as hell about hockey. As I couldn't get anyone else to possibly care enough to shell out over $100 for an average seat, along with the costs associated with going to a game besides buying the ticket, it just never happened.

Anyway, justifying myself to one GusJohnson is quite the exercise in futility so I won't bother any further. I actually enjoy that he got legitimately angry over this great "revelation."
