wrote a 66 check for utils from my utilities/internet bank account which i just saw, much to my dismay, has 64 bucks in it. woops im bad at addition. how do bad checks work? the time it takes me to xfer money from my main bank account into this one will take longer than by the time i get my ATM surcharge rebate thingy on the 31st, so i was planning on just not touching it. like, if its a 66 check with 64 in the account, is my balance going to be -2 dollars and then i get charged money if it remains at -2 by the end of the month cycle? or do i get charged some outrageous fee as soon as that check is cashed (or attempted to be cashed? i have literally no clue how this stuff works)?

fwiw my parents have some sort of instant access to that checking acct and can put in like 5 bucks tmrw AM if need be, but im just giong to feel like a moron if i have to tell them to do that. this is what i get for not having a bank acct until like a year ago.

BANK ACCOUNTS HOW DO THEY WORK

it really depends. some banks let you overdraft a few times per year as long as you pay it back within a certain time, others just insta-charge you and the company may also charge you a fee if the check bizzounces. i'd probably call you parents in the am and tell them to transfer a few bucks to be safe, then ask your bank/check their website later.

if you overdraft once they may charge you, but if you call up and explain the situation and that it was an honest mistake and a one-time thing they often reverse the overdraft charges. many accounts also have "overdraft protection" on them as well

every park i've been to has stopped serving at the 7th, i was a few rows up close to the shrubbery or w/e in center. i got a sun burn last week, and got even darker/burned more today. i could probably pass for an indian (feather not dot, watched that earlier this week)
