Either no tie or a thin tie. Just a black suit and a white shirt looks pretty nice. But if you are closely related to the ones getting married then a tie might be the best option.

She's not my real sister, so I guess I can say she looks good.

She's my black sistah.

Black suits during the day are not acceptable unless it is a funeral.

Sorry to hear that Karak.

I have a looottttt of experience with the whole putting animals down thing from a job I used to have at an emergency clinic and have seen every family reaction possible. Hit me up if you need anything or have any questions. Can be pretty emotionally draining, but ultimately it's likely the best decision. To quote Dr. House -- "It's not easy, but it is simple."

Anyone else's team coming down to the wire in making fantasy playoffs?

Anyone that's doing a money league: do you pay out anything for regular season winners/2nd?

We're only paying out 1st and 2nd of the playoffs. Seems like the regular season should count for something, but gamblers gonna gamble.

Didn't do fantasy baseball this year. But for sure 1st in the regular season should get paid, especially in baseball

How easy is it to get financial aid for studying i USA?

In Sweden we have something called CSN, which basically every student can get. It consists of ~$368 as a benefit and ~$889 as a loan, per month. If you study full time you get this for approx 10 months. The loan part has an interest rate of ~3%, which is really low. So it's all good. Might be fun for you non-swedes to know this.

As I understood it you get scholarships?

Pretty sure I'm going to go my whole life not understanding the appeal of camping. Hiking can be cool, but I don't want to sleep uncomfortably. A cabin might be alright, **** this tent and sleeping bag ****.

On this topic, I'm going camping/backpacking for a week starting the 13th in Yosemite, so ****ing excited.

Yosemite is damn cool. I do enjoy nature sightseeing and stuff quite a bit.

I went to bed at 4am last night looking forward to finally being able to sleep as long as I wanted (I play street hockey on Saturday mornings so I have to get up early for that).

I slept until 5pm. lol @ me.

also i just finished rewriting my research group's website, which was originally written terribly. the beauty is that they wanted me to make it look the same as it originally did, so i spent all week working on this just to make it so no one would ever notice. talk about least fulfilling task you can imagine.

Goofy,
Latest Rasmussen poll in Iowa:
Bachmann 22%
Romney 21%
Paul 16%
Perry 12%
Pawlenty 11%

This is the first poll to come out in a month, and Rasmussen is really pretty accurate. I hereby renew my statement that Paul has a chance to surprise in Iowa. We'll see what happens in Ames on Saturday.

Paul could win in Iowa for all I care and still have a 0% chance of becoming the Republican nominee for President.

Well dammit goofy, don't shift goalposts on me. You were denying any chance in Iowa just a couple of days ago.

Anyway, while I agree that he would still be a longshot even upon hypothetically winning Iowa, I can't see the Iowa winner ever being someone who truly has zero chance. If Bachmann can't beat Paul in Iowa, it may be a death blow; it would at least be close. If Pawlenty can't finish top three there, I bet he's done soon after. Suddenly he's more viable to get nominated than either of them, and he's lining up on the short list. It would still be Romney's to lose, but if he had some kind of PR disaster (even if it has to be outright fabricated a la Howard Dean), you just never know to a certainty.

That said, this is still going to be Romney or Perry getting nominated in all likelihood. I'm not saying otherwise.

Haha, I still doubt he has any chance of winning Iowa, I had just forgotten (it appears you did not) whether my previous quote was on Iowa or the national election.
