I actually played this piece on Saturday @ a gig in Atlanta. I woulda been the dude 2nd from left in this vid (we didn't do most of the cheesy introduction **** in the middle)
Yes, parts of it are cheesy, but the crowd ate it up. Doesn't hurt that it was at a wine auction and most everybody was hammered wasted.
Also, for Karak, this gem for you. Dude plays marching tenors w/ whiffleball bats, and is a bad mother****er.

Meh, stuff like the last video is very technically proficient but I personally don't like that stuff. Although I am very biased against percussionists in general but thats another story.
yeotajmu can (or could when i still played i guess) do everything on the trumpet 28382342x better than me other than scream/range (although he was one of the better screamers in our group)
wtf, that's like raising preflop and then showing me aces. I can play if I want to, but there's an 81% chance that I'm not beating that link.
I'll stick with marching stuff, since you hate it and I have a lot of experience with it.
Not as technical, but damn this is some gorgeous playing. I have to arrange this piece for a high school group next fall - not an easy task imo (since its so popular and consonant)
You guys played the trumpet too? Wow, I almost went to music collage to play the trumpet but didn't really want all the pressure of performing a hell of a lot for the rest of my life. Fun times were had, although glad I got out of it while I still could.

fwiw I can't play above the treble clef staff on trumpet. I still consider it a brag, since most of my other percussion friends' ranges are <octave

Reason: sry, that means my range is about 1.5 octaves on tpt. Forgot to add
